“Delicious!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2013

Me and my family came to Bruges for a couple of days for my 18th and stayed at the Best Western hotel. When looking for a nice place to have lunch we found this cute little bistro Humpty Dumpty which looked really nice and welcoming. With traditional Belgian decor, this family run place was a real treat to eat at. We all ordered Waffles and a hot chocolate. I had the nutella waffle and it was absolutely delicious! The waffle was so so fluffy and light, it was amazing. The hot chocolate was especially good as it surprised us with having a seperate chocolate stirer that melts into the hot mill and tastes like heaven! During our visit we returned here again as it had such a lovely atmosphere with the family being very friendly and inviting. We would definately recommend this to anyone looking for a traditional Belgian bistro to experience amazing food.

“great!! excellent!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2013 via mobile

fantastic! I absolutely loved this small and cute restaurant! It is run by the family who is very welcoming.
there are tons of great deals you can get. for example : a soup and a steak for only 12.50€
we also had a cappuccino which was served in avery unique way- in a glass with chantilly on the top and gingerbread cookies on side.
pancakes with chocolate had really nice warm hot chocolate with a thick consistence.
the only thing that can draw you away is the blue smoke that can come from the kitchen (the food is cooked practically in front of you, the kitchen is not separated from the dining room)

“Good food, friendly service, not too sure about how clean”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2013

We popped in here for some food in December 2013.

The staff were very friendly and the food came out piping hot and very well presented.

There were however lots of dirty pots on the floor, alot of untidiness behind the counter, and a lot of hand wiping on tops etc.

Lovely family run place right off of the town square. Very friendly service and reasonable prices! We went for breakfast and had the Belgian Waffles.

“Lovely home made soup and steak and chips for 12.50€”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2013 via mobile

We found this place on a very cold but clear December day. We liked the range of food and the price. We settled for the menu of the day. The home made tomato soup was one of the nicest soups I've had. We didn't expect much steak for the price and therefore were pleasantly surprised by the quality and the size. The only down side was having to pay €1.50 for a small pot of Mayo. We didn't have a pud but the apply pie looked fantastic. The service was fine and the food prepared to order. We were in no rush to go back out side. Will go again.
