Our friiends had a beautiful wedding in Leuven and the wedding couple had their honey moon in Brugge. So we had excellent possibility to follow them the first day and have a lovely walking tour in the old town.
After the interesting day around the town it was relaxing to take a hot shower in the
luxorous hotel room with comforttable beds.

We used trip adviser to find a hotel in Bruges. The De Tuilereen had great reviews. Our trip was for a special occasion but we were unsure whether we would be able to afford a 4 star hotel - we got a good deal through Superbreaks - 3 nights for the price of 2.
The hotel had spacious roons and helpful staff. A small pool with jacuzzi and sauna were also available. The champagne breakfast and choclate fountain every morning were a real treat. We ate out at some good places recommended by the hotel - next door is good for a special occasion. The hotel has bikes for use - we took these one afternoon and cycled to Damme - a nearby village. it was a good route cycling past windmills and along tree lined canals. The brewery is also worth a visit.

I was lodge in The Tuilerieën during one night. The bedroom ( number 143 an executive room ), was incredible with a fantastic decoration, very confortable bed and a nice bathroom ( shower and bath separated ) it hasn´t canal view.
The staff is very proffesional and fiendly and always have an smile.
The breakfast is incredible ( hot chocolate fountain with fresh fruit, Champagne, salmón, bakery,.. and the woman that serve the breakfast are friendly and efficient.
The location of the hotel is perfect ( 2 minutes walking from the Mark ).
In front of the hotel are situated the stops for the city tour by the river.
The hotel is member of The Small Leading Hotels of the World, and it´s probabbly one of the best small hotels in Europe.
This hotel is the best choice in Brugge. I have payed less than 180 euros per night breakfast includes.
The Tuilerieën is a hotel for people than wants an special treatment that a big hotel couldn´t offer.

If in a future i will visited Brugge again it´s sure that I ´ll be lodge at The Tuilerieën.

Have just returned from staying in Bruges for 3 nights. (April 24th-27th) Got a great deal on Eurostar £29.50 each return from London to Bruges (no extra payment for onward journey from Brussels). Perfect time to visit in the spring. It was sunny and warm and the crowds weren't too dense! Must be very busy in the summer.
We treated ourselves to a stay in the De Tulliereen Hotel which although expensive was heaven. £143 per night during week. The breakfast was 25 euros which seemed a lot but with fruit salad, cereal, fruit bread toast, bacon and egg, chocolate fountain, croissants meat cheese and more fruit to choose from it seemed ok for a treat one morning. There was lovely swimming pool. Although bang in the centre it was not noisy. We had a room in one of the annexes, with a four poster bed. There was a lovely turn down service so there were chocolates on your pillow! There were apples to help yourself to as you passed through reception a nice touch. We could walk 2 minute and be on a boat trip on the canal, 10 minutes and you could be at eitherof the main squares. The delay would be that you couldn't get past all the lovely shops. Lace, chocolates, christmas decorations, beer and lovely Design Shop were all near at hand.
We ate at De Visscherie a lovely expensive fish reataurant, where the service couldn't have been better. De Vlaamsche Pot served tasty traditional Flemish food and the Cafedraal were the food and atmoshere were wonderful. One of our best experinece was eating in the Markt and having chips with meat sauce which was very tasty from a vendor!!!!!!
A boat trip is a must. Walking around gives you a feel of the place. It was less than half an hour from the station with luggage to walk. For us scardy cat Brits the language was no problem. English was understood and spoken with ease.
Quasimodo tours were great if you fancied the day off and let someone else show you around. Philippe gave us a wonderful, enjoyable and amusing day. We went on the Triple Treat Tour.
Fantastic city to stay in especially as a couple.

My friend and I visited Bruges last year and had the good fortune to stay at the de Tuilleerion hotel in Bruges. I want to set the record straight as i have read reviews saying the breakfast is expensive at 24 euros. The champagne breakfast is well worth every cent, It is amazing...fresh figs, rasberries, smoked salmon, I would be here all day listing the choices available. You can feast as much as you are able on delicious pastries, cheeses hams, coffee and juices. Our room was superb and the small pool and sauna for guests use was clean and welcom after a days sight seeing. The hotel is well positioned in the center of the things and the small bar was cosy and quiet. My recommendation is to stump up for the breakfast even if it the only meal you have, you will be remembering it long after you have left Bruges. the hotel well desreves its 4 star rating
