“Another superb stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013 via mobile

A really excellent traditional hotel in central Bruges. Excellent service and lovely rooms. Breakfast is well prepared and there is a lovely homely atmosphere throughout. Everything you need for a wonderful stay in the city.

Hotel is in an excellent location.
Serves great breakfast
Booked our taxi for us and allowed us to leave bags there after checking out.
We stayed in the cheapest room available (the Maids room?)
It was a nice size, the only problem we had were the beams which we kept bumping our heads on!
Obviously there is nothing the hotel can do about this and it's our fault for not looking properly! Ha
Had a really lovely stay

This is a very nice hote, close to most everything to see in Bruges: a short walk from the Grote Markt, the Belfry, the Basilica of the Holy Blood and Groeninge Museum (yes, I saw In Bruges and that inspired my trip). The Breakfast buffet was substantial.
The only negative was the elevator. I had a room on the top floor (ground, first, second) and was shown to the unusual elevator. I say unusual, because one had to keep one's thumb on the button all the time until the floor was reached. This usually would not be a problem except this was the slowest elevator I have encountered--+2 minutes from ground floor to second. On my last trip on the elevator another visitor said, "You need strong thumbs if you stay in the attic."

Room Tip: Ask for aroom on the ground floor.

This is a gem of a hotel with a lot of old world charm and is perfect for a romantic getaway. The location could not be better as it's right in the centre of town and only a stone's throw away from the Markt. The staff could not have been more helpful and really helped us when we needed travel advice etc. breakfast is great too with a selection of everything you could want really. The only negative would be the very slow lift that connected us with our room in the annexe (there are also stairs) so if you're not fully mobile then you'd need to stay in the main building!

A small, but extremely charming hotel in Bruges. Customer service was fantastic, and they let us use their telephone to call the Bruges Ballooning company to confirm our reservation for the next day (it was cancelled due to poor weather). Small bathroom, but it was fine for one night. The room decor was beautiful. The breakfast buffet the next morning was also fantastic and full of choices. The elevator to bring luggage up to the rooms was awkward, but only a very minor part of our experience there. Would definitely return.

A really lovely traditional hotel in a great location. Only a couple minutes walk away from the centre of Bruges. The Buffet breakfast had a wide selection of nice food. Breakfast room overlooked a beautiful courtyard. Rooms were pleasant and staff were really helpful and spoke excellent English. Overall a really pleasant stay and would highly recommend. If you're taking a visit to Bruges make sure you visit 'ribs n beer' the best ribs I've ever tasted! About 15 min walk from the hotel. Bruges is such a beautiful place and the hotel was equally as lovely. Would love to go back again in the future.

I loved this place. It was beautifully decorated. I had a charming single room where old ceiling beams poked out of the ceiling. The bed was so comfy, with a fluffy duvet. The bathroom was huge and modern. The buffet breakfast had a wide selection of yummy food. The desk staff were extremely helpful and kind. The ladies in the breakfast room were very polite. I loved this place. I don't even think that it took five minutes to walk to the centre of town. I would love to stay here again if I am ever lucky enough to return to Brugge.
