“Nice Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013 via mobile

We booked this hotel for a four night stay. The Hotel is small but well run, within a short walk to the market square and centre of Brugge. Our rooms were quiet, clean and well maintained, loved the L'Occitane toiletries! Breakfast was buffet style, with a good selection of meats, cheese, smoked salmon, breads, pastries and fruit, and boiled eggs. Everyone could eat as much or little as they desired. The staff also put out some tea and coffee in the afternoons for you to help yourself, this is cleared away when the bar opens. We never saw anyone use this, as it is really more a large drinks cupboard. I am sure we would return to this hotel if we go again to Brugge and would recommend for those people who are happy to sleep, eat and go out for the day and evenings. It would probably not suit anyone who likes to retire to the hotel lounge and bar of an evening.

We visit Bruges once or twice a year. This was our third stay here (apartments round the corner 'Aragon House') Six of us in total - wife, two children, my mum, sister and myself, so the apartment style works very well. Staff always friendly and helpful - particularly Astrid. Parking in Bruges can be a nightmare if, like us, you are arriving in a people carrier with a roofbox! The multi-storey car parks are a no-go because of the height restrictions. Aragon has (limited) parking so that has always been a blessing (and another reason why we come back). Breakfast is great. Excellent coffee. Location is superb - a minutes walk to the main square - which is another blessing as my elderly mum can't walk too far. Toiletries in the bathroom are excellent. In the afternoon there is complimentary coffee/tea and cake in the lounge/foyer area. We didn't watch tv but there are British channels. Can't really think of anything negative to say. Bruges is a fab place - hence the reason we keep coming back. We're staying at the Aragon again later this year - see you then!

Our first visit to Bruges and it won't be the last. Made all the more special with our stay at Hotel Aragon. It was the perfect location just a few minutes from the market square. We spent 3 nights here and would definitely stay again. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. The hotel was well presented with attention to detail with furnishings and amenities. Would highly recommend to those looking to stay in Bruges.

Our family spent three nights at this hotel in a family apartment. The apartments are around the corner from the main hotel in a building called "Aragon House". The rooms were clean and spacious with one large bed, sofa and dining table in one room and two twins beds in a separate room. We also had a bonus room with a sofa that was great for reading. We didn't cook while there, but there was a full-size kitchen equipped with a small refrigerator, microwave, plates, cutlery, glasses and some pots and pans.

Continental buffet breakfast was included and served in two breakfast areas in the lobby of the main hotel. There were a variety of options (bread, cheeses, meats, boiled eggs, fruit, coffee/tea or Belgian hot chocolate and juices) and was frequently refreshed. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We had a great stay at the Hotel Aragon and would highly recommend it, especially for families. My kids loved hanging out in the room. If you're driving, park in the Biekorf underground parking structure just before you get to the hotel for just 8.70 per day rather than paying 15 euro at the hotel, which only has a few spots.

Room Tip: Ask for the family apartments in Aragon House. We stayed in number 22, which was very large and coul...

My family stayed in the apartments for three nights. The staff is polite and very helpful. The apartment was fantastic and roomy. The fact that it was near the market was very helpful. The only problem was that there is a bar down the street from the apartments...and our windows are not exactly sound proof. But then again it was a Saturday night.

We stayed here for a couple of nights this week. Location brilliant, not far from Market square, it was lovely and quiet especially at night. Breakfast was very nice, continental and eat as much as you want. People very friendly and helpful. Not a problem if you don't speak Flemish. We would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is perfect. We stayed here for two nights this week and it was fabulous. The location in a small side street away from the Market square meant you were so close you could nip back to the hotel at anytime and leave your shopping off or have a break but likewise you didn't have to hear all the noise of the main square- it was very quiet at night. Very clean, very helpful reception staff who spoke English as we struggled with the language (Flemish) - I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Bruges- we will be back!
