“Excellent Location and Good Room.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

Located in a good spot for all the amenities. Really nice room. even though a bit dark having only one narrow window. Shower and bath and the hair dryer was much appreciated, tea and coffee making facilities, but they only give one teabag per day person, so take your own teabags, a good little fridge in the room which was handy for the milk, whiich can be purchased at the local Supermarket.
Downside of the hotel was felt the day we had to leave, check out had to be at 11am, it was very cold outside and we had to wait until 4pm for the coach. Sitting in the hotel lounge and lobby is somewhat uncomfotable no bar etc.. and no really sumptuous chairs. there is a TV but I don't think anybody had the nerve to ask for it to be switched on. Even had the weather been warm the garden is a concrete square with tables and chairs surrounded by all the hotel room windows and would make me feel like a goldfish. Not trying to knock the hotel just telling it like it is.
Upside again, the breakfast was rather nicely set out, with choices of cold meats, cereals fruit etc . All in all you could do a lot worse than pick this Hotel.

Room Tip: Probably just a case of crossing your fingers,

This hotel was pleasant though was not a four star hotel. It was clean, the staff were nice and efficient. The breakfast was mixed at best. The location was excellent for a trip to this beautiful city and yes I would use it again. Good WI FI reception is available. DSome guests complained about noise but this was not a problem we had.

Room Tip: Room on south side if avaiolable

I chose this hotel as it is well located, cheaper than the other centrally located hotels in Burges and has underground parking. The hotel itself is adequate but nothing special. The rooms are a good size and comfortable. The decor and amenities are not great but I wasn't expecting them to be. The staff were a little brusque at times, but no major complaints on that front. The communal areas of the hotel look pretty shoddy and there was a dirty lavatory smell in some of the passageways. The location is good, just a few minutes walk to all the sites in historic Bruges and the (paid) underground parking was convenient (if a little tight).

Amazing location. Right in the centre but a quiet retreat also . Very romantic right next to Lake of love and 3 mins from the amazing restaurants and next door to best bar in Bruges.
Room had two large singles pushed together to make a double which was fine. Lights and heating were very modern and took a could odd days to work out. Seemed simple after a couple of Belgium beers lol
Room was massive with modern Tv. Bbc 1 and 2 and bbc news available.
Staff very friendly and helpful providing us with a map on arrival and pointing out places of interest. Rooms cleaned daily. Fresh linen and towels provided daily. Breakfast is continental style buffet, plenty of cereal, fruit, cheese, toast, yoghurt but hot stuff no good for the fussy eater.
Only two tea bags and two coffee provided daily so we brought our own and own mugs. Easy as drove via ferry.
Hotel car park is worth a mention as it is very steep and tight. If you have a big car avoid it as we saw a couple with scratches on. It is located right next to the hotel. Not on by a lace shop as it says on the website.
Amazing holiday. Great value by booking on ebookers and 45min drive to ferry.

We stayed here for three nights as part of a Riviera Travel tour. The hotel was adequate and reasonably clean but it seemed a little gloomy with it's dark walls. It was not necessarily high on comfort - lots of clean lines and quite modern.

The bed was comfortable with extra pillows in the wardrobe but unfortunately the mattress protector was stained. They could also do with "Do Not Disturb/Please Make Up My Room" signs as the cleaners knock on your door and if you don't answer they let themselves in! Not good if you're in the shower!!

Additionally the plastic cups and one tea bag each were not very welcoming, nor was the powdered milk!

The lights and the heating were a law unto themselves! You need a degree in engineering to work them clearly! Not very good instructions on their use either.

On a positive note there was plenty of hot water and the power shower was wonderful!

Breakfast was adequate with plenty of choice but the breakfast area could do with refurbishing.

This hotel was great and it exceeded all expectations! It was comfortable, with friendly staff. While just off the main street, it was in an excellent location for all the sights! I would certainly recommend to friends! The location is south of the main square, but within easy walking distance.
The hotel served breakfast only, which is common due to the many places there are to eat.. The food was well presented, and good to eat, offering a good range of hot and cold dishes - something to suit all tastes! The comfortable rooms also had a kettle with tea and coffee making facilities, great in cold weather! There was also a very pleasant bar and lounge. I loved the whole experience!

Room Tip: Everyone we spoke to was very happy with their given room! The street was quiet.
