Was staying in the hotel for 3 nights. Location is lovely, simple but nice breakfast.
The bathroom was absolutely horrible! Very small, with no space in the shower whatsoever. Shower itself quite powerfull, unfortunately the drainage system couldn't cope with it, and we had flooding there as a result! Fan wasn't working, so the bathroom was always damp and very unpleasant to use.

I was traveling solo and was impressed with this inn. The staff consisted of a husband and wife team and they were efficient, friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was fresh and delicious. The location is a walkable distance from every where in historic Bruges. The only negative was the small bathroom. I was guessing that the owners added the bathrooms to the already smallish rooms to accommodate travelers that don't want the shower-down-the-hall concept. I would recommend this hotel to singles and couples, but probably not for families with young children. Very nice place!

the hotel is right on the canal and we had a room with a canal view. It was lovely to see the tour boats go past our windows as we got ready for a day out. We could also sit on the window's ledge with a Kriek Beer or two and watch the world pass after a busy day site seeing before getting ready for the 5 minute walk to the Markt Square and all the restaurants and bars.
This hotel is in a great spot and with a bar/restaurant opposite, and loads of restaurants on route to the main Markt Square you are spoiled for choice.

The hotel was clean, reception staff helpful and the buffet breakfast was great.

Our only tiny criticism was the bathrooms. BUT we didnt come to Bruges to spend time in the shower! although very small, they were clean and functionable.

On arrival we were given a tourist map of the city and a tourist discount card for museums and a couple of restaurants.

On departure there was a free luggage store area for use.

We drove to Bruges and there is a temporary parking bay outside the hotel for unloading luggage etc. We parked in the t'pandreitje parking for the first 2 nights, this is 2 minutes walk from the hotel and cost E8.40 per night. After a day trip to Brussels, on return, we decided to park at the Centrum Station and walk back to the hotel, this was a 15 minute walk and cost E2.00 per night. There are plenty of car parking garages and open air parking places on the outskirts of the city and many are within reasonable walking distance to the hotel.

Bruges is a great place and this hotel is in just the right spot to enjoy the Burg, the Markt Place and the canals.

This hotel is situated in a beautiful peaceful area and the walk along the picturesque canal to and from the main square with sights such as the Belfort only takes approx 10 mins.

The hotel room was on the small side but perfectly sufficient for our needs and absolutely spotlessly clean. Very bright, airy and pleasantly decorated. On suite bathroom had fantastic shower and again spotlessly clean.

Staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Hair dryer was helpfully supplied when requested at the main reception.

Breakfast each morning was a wonderful buffet with a good selection of pastries, cereals, fruit, yoghurts, bread, cheese, various hams etc.

I have absolutely no complaints about this hotel. The charming appearance from the outside and the main reception and corridors allows you to feel as though you're staying in a traditional and authentic hotel in an equally charming area.

What a brilliant hotel. Just returned from a five day trip to Bruge, and the hotel was fantastic. Our sons booked the trip as a birthday present for my wife, and they couldn't have picked a better hotel. Brilliant location, it took us three and a half minutes to walk into Berg. Our sons paid extra for the canal view, and boy, was it worth it. To be able to open the windows wide and sit on the window ledge watching the boats go by was a real treat. Our room also looked onto the courtyard, so we got the best of both worlds. The staff were very friendly and most helpful, with suggestions on how to see the best of Bruge. The breakfasts are more than adequate, with a great selection of eggs, meat, cheese and jams, and as much as you want to eat and drink. Other reviewers have mentioned the small bathrooms, but how much time to you spend in a bathroom? The rest of the hotel and the staff more than compensate for the bathrooms. For a really good night out, turn left out of the hotel, and after about three hundred yards, on the right hand side of Langestraat, is a pub called "Ratatouille". Good food and drink, and the locals are really friendly.
