“Every time a must!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

Just grab the menu from the ceiling (they have them hanging from the ceiling on elastic bands) and start ordering at the bar, you cannot make a mistake, it's Belgian beer! Order some cheese cubes with your beer and sit either on the terrace or in the court yard admiring the beer wall. They have heating stations, so you will be warm as well while enjoying your beer. A must during every stay in Brugge!

“People watching at its best....with beer!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013 via mobile

The beer wall is impressive as you walk in and on a wet June day it is a good place to go into for a beer but is quite crowded (but less busy than a sunny day when everyone is outside on the terrace overlooking the canal). There are a good selection of beers and we tried all of the draught beers as well as some of the bottled. The Mongozoo mango beer was good but served in a ridiculous coconut shaped cup and too sickly for more than one, the kriek boon cherry flavour was better and on draught. The others in the group recommended the Kwak and the staff were also happy to help with choices.
You can sit and people watch without any rush and there is no pressure to move and if you do move on you have a choice as to going into the beer cellar or back to sightseeing (if you still can!)
Beer cellar has a good choice of beers and prices for the unusual ones are good but general beers can be bought cheaper in local shops!

“A must see - and taste”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2013 via mobile

A wonderful place to sit and watch the world go by. Stroll past the Magnificat wall of beer and their glasses to find the bar. Pull down a menu from above your head to find out about the draught beers available. My fave was the cherry at 5.5 % and very drinkable. Once armed with your beer go outside to the terrace, sit down and enjoy! It's as simple as that! If you want to buy beer go downstairs into the beer cellar and I defy you to come away empty handed, it just won't happen!
It's a great place to relax, no one hassles you to move on or buy more beer, but one is never really enough!

“Nice place for a beer”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013

Good place to have a beer. They have a lot of different kinds on display, but only serve a few. Outside the bar there is a really lovely place to enjoy your drink by the water.

“Great place but lack of choice”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

Despite having an interesting wall of beer, the choice of what was actually available to drink seemed limited to just 5 draft beers. Perhaps I missed something, but there no menus and I didnt see anyone drinking bottles rather than Draft.

Its a cool place and has a fantastic terrace on the water. Just go there for a nice drink as opposed to an expectation of being able to choose some of the hundreds of beers showcased on the wall.
