Owner description: The Bruges Town Hall was built in 1376—and amazingly, the city has been governed from this building for more than 700 years. Go inside to see the Town Hall’s 19th century Gothic Chamber and the painted figures that shed light on the city’s incredible past.

“Amazing room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2013

It is worth going into the Stadhuis, even though there's only three public spaces to go into. The audio guide is included in the (inexpensive for Brugge) entry fee. This also includes the odd place next door, which for its one amazing room, is also worth a look-see.

“Stunning Upstairs”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013 via mobile

The tour was guided by audio and included several portraits downstairs followed by 3 installments upstairs. The hall upstairs is beautiful and worth a lingering visit. Each installment is worth listening to in full. Take a seat for the first and second. The third is best heard walking from mural to mural. It brings to life Bruge's history and the dignity with which the city was governed. A highlight for the whole family.

“Very nice building but you can only see one room (and this for four euros !)”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

Very nice building and nice main room and staircase - but tht is just it.

Not quite sure how people can ask four euros entrance for that - which I actually consider a rip off !

“Beautiful architecture!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

One of the most sees when visiting Bruges - especially at night. It sits on Burg square and is next the Basilica of the Holy Blood.

“Excellent best in Brugge”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

Audio guide given for free and was really interesting. Worth the money to visit for the magnificent hall as it was one the best spots in Brugge. The hall is upstairs so not immediately known about on visit. Not crowded and very central to visit. Magnificent inside and out. Best way to learn the real history of Brugge.
