This place is amazing. The upstairs is more modern art/gallery space and has no relation to the historic part downstairs but it's worth a look too.
This place is set out really well and is full of iconography related to religion as purchased/inspired/commissioned by the nuns that used to run it. There is one image in there that shows the place as it would have looked as a hospital. Fascinating.
It's also got one of those pictures that has a visual effect - like the table in the Vatican city image rather than squinting at a loads of blobs and seeing a dolphin. This one has fingers that creep over the edge of the frame. (I'd like to sound more cultured and name it and the artist but without googling/cheating I'm at a loss right now)
Good toilet stop too as this is free and the view is of the canal pretty much water level - word to the wise though, shut the window before you pee guys because you'll end up in peoples holiday snaps!!!
