“great place in Brugge”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013

Stayed here for 3 nights with Riviera travel, lovely hotel in a great central location, just off the main square. The sound of bells and the horse drawn carriages created a lovely atmosphere. The air conditioned room was a good size and very clean and tidy, nice bathroom.Great breakfast, not just continental but cooked as well which was unexpected.Lots of good restaurants to try but avoid the main square(a bit pricey!).

Just stayed here with Riviera travel for 3 nights. The hotel was in a great location, situated just behind the bell tower, the rooms were comfortable and extremely clean and well maintained, there were towels and face cloths provided, you could get BBC 1 & 2 on the flat screen tv in the room if you wanted it. We had a small problem with the safe as the previous guest had left it locked, no sooner had I put the phone down to reception than there was a knock at the door to sort it out. All the staff we spoke to were helpful and courteous, the breakfast had everything you could want, lots of different fruit juices, fruits, cereals, nuts and seeds, yogurts, cheeses, cooked meats, breads and pastries, bacon, sausage, eggs, tomatoes, beans...and more! The only real improvement they could make would be to have kettles in the room, so if you like a cuppa in the morning without having to get dressed to go downstairs to get one, then pack a travel kettle and a couple of mugs. All in all a fantastic stay and I would definitely return. If you like good beer then try De Garre, it's a well known local 'secret' a bar serving the beer on a small street close to the hotel, go for a wander and if you come across it then drop in for one or two, you won't be disappointed.

This hotel is in a fantastic central location in Bruges, just behind the Belfry.(The bells don't chime at night so you get a good nights sleep) We were on the 3rd floor, with a view of the Belfry. The room was air conditioned, small, but clean, with enough storage space for a 3 night stay. The bathroom was good, with a power shower and toiletries, quite spacious, and again very clean. The breakfast was excellent, a hot and cold buffet, with plenty of choice. The staff were friendly and helpful. The holiday was booked through Riviera Travel and was excellent value for money.

Room Tip: I think the rooms were smaller on the 4th floor. Ours was on the 3rd floor and was fine.

We stayed here for two nights. The hotel is in a brilliant location - essentially right behind the square and belfry. The check in time was 3pm, but the staff was more than happy to allow us to check in at 1pm. The room was very clean, a little worn perhaps, but had a good bathroom, powerful shower, comfortable bed and a little balcony. The hotel also does a happy hour - we didn't go, but the cocktails looked good. The only downside is that it could be a little noisy (according to my boyfriend - I slept through everything). Fantastic value for money, highly recommended.

A brief but rewarding stay. The hotel is right in the centre of the city, is small but well appointed with very friendly staff and a happy hour which is well worth taking advantage of. All in all an excellent choice in this very attractive city. Thoroughly recommended .

The hotel is great when it comes for location. Service was nice, the room was old...and just nothing special. Also they put two twins together for double bed and the gap is huge even after so me and my husband had to cover it somehow. it was lot of fun in Bruges though so for the price we paid for the hotel it was worth it.

We had an overnight stay in Brugge and decided on this hotel due to price and location. And what a great find! Of course, it's not the Ritz but at the price we paid, I wasn't expecting spacious rooms with all signing and dancing mod cons. It was very clean, the location was fab and the staff were really nice. Will definitely be coming back here.
