“Clean, efficient, what you have come to expect from Ibis”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2011

Stayed for 2 nights early December. Although we have been to Bruges many times before this is our first stay at this Ibis. Found the rooms 'compact' but adequate, spotlessly clean with the usual facilities with one exception; no kettle! Couldn't have a brew up.... not a major problem, but did miss a cup of tea first thing. Didn't go for he breakfast option on the advise of other reviewers on this site. Walked out and found an excellent breakfast including eggs and bacon for half the price.
Had a few drinks in the bar, hotel prices as one would expect, but most of the bars/restaurants in Bruges fall into this price bracket.... Resigned to that when visiting such destinations.
Oh, found the beds a bit hard for my taste, but that's a personal preference, after a few Kwaks it wasn't a problem.....
All in all good hotel, good value for money in a good location to walk out.

This hotel was in a perfect location--very close to everything you would want to see in Brugge. Only a few minutes walk to the center of the city, with lots of shops, restaurants and chocolate shops along the way! Our room was small, but average for European standards. Very clean both the room and the hotel itself, and the staff was friendly and very helpful. One man at the front desk even made the effort to map out great spots to have a few beers (not that it was difficult to find such places in Brugge!) and told me the days and times they were open. We slept with our window wide open, as we were on the 3rd floor, and our room had the perfect view; a beautiful church steeple that rang church bells in the morning and stayed lit up until midnight each night. It was wonderful! Another bonus was that we were able to request a few beers late at night from the front desk and they had no problems bringing them right to our room, great service!

Room Tip: If you get the chance, I would recommend 2 things. 1.) Try the cheese croquettes!!! They have them...

We stayed in Bruges for two nights on the first weekend of December (2011). The hotel was clean and comfortable. The rooms were quite small but enough for a couple with one big case. There were no bathroom toiletries so make sure you take all your own supplies. The hotel is in a great location. It is next to a main street and not far from all the main attractions. It is a 10-15 minute walk from the train station. There is a supermarket not far for any forgotten items and supplies. Staff were friendly. All in all it was a good hotel for a couple of nights.

The room was a very plain but modern and comfortable, the beds were comfortable and afforded a good night's rest. We ordered just a couple of things from the bar/restaurant which were not up to much and expensive too but the hotel was good value if you limit yourself to the room.

the quality of the hotel was as you expect from Ibis. although there was no visual dirt, I felt small particleunder my feet.
the street on rthe backside was very busy even in the weekends. Unfortunately we could not shut down the heater, so we had to sleep with an open window. Due to the noice that was not always a pleasure. Ask for a room at the front side of the hotel!

What a lovely hotel! Having stayed in quite a few hotels this year this comes near the top of my list! We drove from the UK and the hotel was easy to find despite local diversions. Staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean, tidy and comfortable. As a vegetarian I sometimes find countries in Europe are limited in choice. We tried the evening menu on a couple of occasions and the food was absolutely delicious, it had a good variety and it wasn't over priced like most hotels. The hotel was quiet and although you have to pay to park near the hotel there was good access and your car felt secure. This hotel is a great base for exploring some of Belgium.

clean, efficient, friendly; breakfast good though better if included. No exactly 'charming' as in other hotels one sees in Bruges but it is perfectly satisfactory and conveniently located. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
