“great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2013

This hotel was just what we wanted; small comfortable, friendly staff, parking literally next door, decor ambience.............

not really a criticism more about marketing,it is not really luxurious, more old fashioned comfortable which was ok by me

Excellent hotel. The room was beautiful, sunny and spacious, (one of the junior suites), perfect central location, excellent breakfast, and the staff could not have been more helpful. Ask for the junior suite on the sunny side of the hotel. A lovely room and very spacious

One of the most positive things about this hotel is primarily the staff who make you feel really welcome and interested in your experiences of your stay. They are also well versed in the local attractions. There are lovely touches in the rooms such as the turn down service in the evening which also includes a card that gives the weather forecast for the next day. The facilities in the junior suite were excellent including bathroom with large jacuzzi bath. The other plus is the location - very central but quiet.

My only disappointment was the size of the junior suite. I have to confess that it was smaller than I expected for a "suite", no larger than some normal hotel rooms I have stayed in. Also, a minor observation was the fact that there was no English speaking news channel. I don't expect that they provide all main UK channels but, being a multi-lingual establishment, I would have appreciated some English news even with subtitles.

Great hotel; friendly and helpful staff; perfect central but peaceful location; stayed in a Ralph Lauren suite (003) long thin room but spacious enough (only niggle no kettle; they say 'no problem just ask us when you want a tea or coffee' and then they charge you each time!) breakfast is lovely with champagne and eggs (any way except poached), plus croissants, ham, cheese and fruit; they do recommend some dodgy restaurants though so do your own research...

Room Tip: stayed in 003 and that was long, thin and quiet, lovely bathroom with separate shower, jacuzzi bath...

This is the third time I have stayed at the Pand Hotel, and it remains my all-time favourite!

Once again I stayed here with customers and colleagues, and although my company regularly use this hotel, we are looked after as well as ever, and the standards at the Pand remain consistently high.

From check in to departure the staff are particularly attentive, Nothing is too much trouble. Although we usually book one of the Pands "Charming" grade rooms which are quite small, they are beautifully decorated and immaculately kept.

The real highlight at the Pand in my opinion, remains the superb breakfasts with superbly prepared fresh fruit salad, glass of champagne and omelletes which are individually cooked on the AGA.

The location of the Pand is probably the best in Bruges, right beside Little Venice.

Keep up the good work!!

We just completed a three-day visit to Brugge, our first time in the historic center. We chose this delightful, elegant hotel primarily because of its dog-friendly policy, but I would stay at The Pand on the strength of its outstanding service, perfect+quiet location, and attractive decor. We couldn't have had a better base from which to explore the city. We had a junior suite/king bed, which provided lots of room and amenities (not over the top but comfortable), e.g., mini bar, safe, closet space, nice bathroom (double sink), spa-tub and separate shower. Other reviewers have noted the discrete service: the staff leave you alone (which we like) but are helpful if you need assistance (we received several great restaurant recommendations) . Breakfast is excellent, and although the hotel doesn't push it, room service is available: there is evening turn-down service. This is a gracious property, low-key property. We can't wait to return.

We enjoyed our stay at the Pand Hotel. Started with a warm welcome, a glass of wine at the bar, and visiting other guests in the living room - much like a B&B. Room was #3 up a narrow flight of stair, and they carried the luggage! We were in the Master Suite which had space for four to sleep, although we were only two. The room is long and narrow and tight to get from bedroom past king bed to bathroom, which is up three steps. No dresser and not much space to unpack so we laid our clothes on the two extra beds.
Jacuzzi in the middle of the bathroom invites you to take a warm bath. Breakfast was very good, relaxing, and slow pased. They also have a courtyard for breakfast or tea, but it was too cold to sit outside.
Hotel is in very good location, half a block from canal, close to city center, with plenty of restaurants and chocolate shops near by. You can go for the canal ride from right at the end of the street. You can hear the church bells and see the very top of the church tower from our room.
We had been Bruges before but only for the day. We were glad we spent a few nights this time. Just wished it had been a little warmer weather. Our complements to the friendly staff for making our stay enjoyable.
