“beautiful hotel great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2009

Arrived at the hotel to be greeted by a very helpful receptionist and a porter who sorte out our luggage an parked our car for us. Lovely entrance hall, sitting area, dining room. The hall and stairs to the 4 floors are made of marble absolutely beautiful. We stayed in room 31. on arrival at the room as son as we opened the door we could smell cigarette smoke. A big put off to us non-smokers. There was a card on the desk which asked people not to smoke. A bowl of fresh fruit was a nice welcome, it was complimenary too. The bed cover and cushion covers smelled stale. The bedroom itself was a good size but not big enough for 3 of us. There was a portable bed set up in front of the balcony oors which meant we could not open the balcony doors properly or our ensuite bathroom door. The en suite was a full bath with shower over, a great size with really nice quality shower gels etc and plenty of lovely clean towels.
a good size plasma screen in the room and free wi fi ,which was a relief to our 16 year old son! There is a lift to all floors to fit 4 people or 3 with luggage.
The decor throughout is very classy, great colour, and tastefully done. the hotel seemed to appeal mostly to couples as there were no children there apart from our son.
At night there was turn down service , with a lovely note saying have a good nights rst from the hotel owners. The beds were so comfortable, lovely clean sheets and pillowcases.
Breakfast was divine! A bit of everything for everyone..even some Champagne for a Bucks fizz. Lovely atmosphere in the dining room, tables beautifully set out with linen table cloths and silver looking cutlery etc....
The staff are so friendly and so professional. Nothing is too much atall. the night porter was very accomodating who let me wander round late at night to take internal pictures when no one else was about.
The sun deck on floor 4 was great. It gives you a view of the Belfry tower and roof tops.
There are apartments being builtacross the road from the Hotel but in all honesty even though we overlooked them it did not bother us atall. Hotel was in an excellent location, just a couple of minutes walk from the main square where you can hop on a horse and cart ride round the city for 35 euros for half an hour or a boat trip round the canals for 6 euros 70 cents. A word of warning re the boats......they cram as many people in as is physically possible so i you have a bad back like me...it's not the best thing in the wrold and you can't see anything except the head in front of you. Bruges is beautiful but very very commercial. This was our 3rd visit and it gets more so every time. But it's beauty is very captivating.
A really lovely little Hotel which we would stay in again. We left a card with reception re the smell of cogarettes and the room not being big enough for 3 people. We feel this gives them the opportunity to get it right. If we went again and these things had not been addressed then we would address it at the time. Parking cost 20 euros per day in the hotel car park as there is limited parking in Brugges.
Brugges itself is extortionately expensive!!! A light lunch witha couple of small beers was 73 euros. An average small beer is 5 euros. Can of coke 1 euro 80 cents if bought in a shop in a restaurant it was 4 euros!! A small pizza was 14 euros. bearing in mind how rubbish the pound is it was quite an expensive 3 days!

This hotel is in a great location, within walking distance of all the main sites. For a stress-free stay we parked at the station (E2.50 per day) and took the free bus to Markt Square near the hotel. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The complimentary wifi in the room was appreciated as was the free 2 hour walking tour of the city, which I recommend. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Heritage.

With our renovations that took place, our lounge Le Magnum and our new restaurant Le Mystique are a must to try out when staying at our hotel. Thank you for the review and we hope to see you in Bruges on your next trip!

Hotel Heritage is located within easy walking distance to most of the major attractions. The staff was very pleasant and helpful in assisting with tours and advice on places to eat. The complementary in room internet was also appreciated. I would say the only minus was the construction taking place across the street. However, work did not begin until after 8:00 am each morning.

lovely hotel in ideal location in this wonderful city.room was spotless with nice decor.there is still building work out the front but did not really affect us.breakfast seemed expensive but when you see prices in town and the fact you can eat as much as you like it is not so bad but dont expect a full english. turn left out of hotel and there are 2 very good patisseries one left and one right at end of street .taxi from station cost 12.5 euros but returned by bus 3.7 euros .just get bus to market square and is a 2 minute walk.Book direct and you can get a free upgrade.eating out is very expensive so you need to look around,Cambrinus was a good pub with great food and if looking for a snack try HEMA department store (2 for 1 deals).Did mini bus tour of flanders fields and a bike ride to Damme both really good but dont miss walking tour of bruges organised by hotel 84 year old guide was excellent.if there wasnt a whole world still too see would go back tomorrow!

We strive to keep our hotel spotless and our service standards impeccable. Next time, we urge you to try out our restaurant Le Mystique for fine Flemish and French cuisine prepared daily by our chef who uses seasonal local ingredients. Until then.

There are endless 5-star reviews, plus TripAdvisor awards, for this hotel, so we won’t try to match those very true words.
But some friendly advice: Stay in this hotel [and visit this city] at least once in your life! You will be perfectly served by the staff…pampered by the service…absolutely delighted by the rooms…amazed that you’re located in the midst of everything [even though it’s still quiet], astonished that they give you a FREE two-hour walking-tour of the city [with charming guides]…and very grateful that you decided to give yourself this wondrous gift [and even consider spending a few dollars more for a “superior” room, although all of the rooms are beautiful].

Pleasantly situated hotel within minutes of the main market square where you can find horse and carriage rides and the famous Belfort bell tower. My husband and I walked from the station to the hotel which took approximately 15 mins and this gave us chance to see some of Bruges sites on the way. On arriving at our hotel our bag was ushered to our room and we were given a map of the city with explanation of the walks and sites to be seen of which there are many! We were also given a discount card to gain money off all the museums and some other attractions such as the boat rides along the canals.
Our room was lovely with a beautiful ensuite and basket of fruit welcoming us. The only thing I would find fault with is the lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room but you can order hot drinks for the morning at an extra charge. We were also brought a glass of sherry on our first night compliments of the hotel which was a lovely touch. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this hotel to anyone who requires a bit of luxury out of their stay in Bruges.
