5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2012

We were staying at Adagio Bed & Breakfast in juli 2012. We were heading for Normandie, and had reservated for one night on the way down from Denmark. We felt very welcome at Adagio B&B, and was well introduced. The rooms was nice and clean, and if we another time are headding for northwest of Frence, we vil use Adagio again. The lokation is 10 minutes walk from the center of Brugge,
Mr. Roland was wery helpfull, about what to see, and were to eat in the center of Brugge.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2011

We stayed at this Adagio B&B on early June 2011. We had such a pleasant stayed. We were expected to arrive late at night and Roland (the owner) offer to pick us up at the train station, but we ended arriving earlier than expected and due to the June 2 holiday accession celebration and being extremely busy at the train station that afternoon, along with being tired from traveling all day we decided to take a taxi. It only cost us 13 Euros… The B&B is just a little outside of Bruges in Assebroek , but it was very close to the main square in Bruges, it will take us approximately 5-7 minutes by bike. We stayed in Double Room#3, second floor and even though it will face the main street, it was extremely quiet; their nice shutters will block all noise and light. Room was very spacious, extremely clean, and it provided you with a wall coat rack, stackable wooden shoe rack, wood closet shelves and your own sink and very comfortable beds. The shower was next to our room and we shared it with Room#2 guests. The bathroom was always kept very clean and (girls: it did had a blow-dryer for your personal use). They were kind to asked us what time we wanted breakfast and every day we had breakfast with Room#2 guest (lovely German/French couple) and our hosts. Breakfast consisted of fresh bread, ham, salami, eggs, jelly, fruit , yogurt, milk, orange and some other fruit juices and they even had the American type breakfast bar (i.e. cereal etc. etc.)..During our breakfast time we were able to ask questions about Bruges and surrounding areas, recommendations and even shared our traveling experiences with hosts and other guests. It was a nice social time. The B&B offers laundry services and since we have been traveling for while and we were going to continue traveling, one morning we drop off our laundry and by the time we came back it was ready( clean, iron and nicely folded in our room). We were charged a minimal charge for this service. The B&B It is located in a not so touristy area, which we loved since we got to eat couple of times in local restaurants where locals will gather, prices were very decent and food in my opinion much better than those touristy restaurant like main square. There are several Banks ATM's just across the street from the B&B, a supermarket a block away (B&B only allows drinks and not food in the room), bus station just behind and Roland was very kind to recommend us a bike shop where we rented our bikes for 6 euro a day. (Cheapest than anyone else in town) and it was just couple of blocks away from the B&B. They allow us to store our bikes inside their garage. Our last day, Roland offer to drop us off at the train station, so we did not even have to take the bus; that was very nice of him. Overall, we had a wonderful stay, we hope to go back to Bruges and stay here again. I will definitely recommend this place and for the 54 euro a night this was a steal.

Room Tip: Book early, no deposit and great service

Adagio Bed and Breakfast was an excellent choice for me and my fiance. We arrived a little earlier than expected and were greeted with a warm welcome. The rooms were spacious, clean and not cluttered. We stayed in an excellent location. It was a little outside of the main square - away from the hustle and bustle but a 20min walk or 3 min bus ride away. The breakfast they served was delicious and we really felt cultured. Highly recommend and an excellent price too!
