“Friendly and rustic cafe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

Popped in for a very good coffee and croissant. The bread and other goodies looked very tempting. No frills, pine tables and a tasteful rustic style. The staff were very friendly and helpful and (usefully for us) had the menu in English. Nice enough to return for lunch - an open sandwich with salad served on a ceramic platter. Good value for such a central location and right next door to Cambrinus (beer heaven?).

“Nice Place to good meal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013

Le Pain Quotidien is located in a cluster of restaurants behind the Shade Hotel.
It has an indoor dining area, as well as an outdoor patio area. This is an excellent place to meet friends or have an informal business meeting. Try their outdoor area to enjoy the California sun, and to watch the quiet ambience of the little cluster of stores / restaurants around Le Pain.

Recommended for quick lunch, the menu is extensive with many favorites.
Try their iced Apple Cider.

“Very good and vegetarian friendly”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2012

I stumbled on this charming spot and could not have been happier. I had the "Pot au Feu," a delicious vegetable soup with a firey mince on the side that was perfect on a damp, cold winter day. Good value and excellent food. Communal table that is welcome for someone traveling alone. Delish!

“Normal place”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2012

Normal place, for sure not good as in Paris or Brussels,
The quality of the food is lower and also the quality of their bread.
A pkace to have a lunch not expensive

“Great Breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

This is a really good place for breakfast or brunch. The scrambled eggs taste like they are made from real eggs and lots of butter. Remember to ask for bread otherwise the eggs just come served in a bowl. Sadly they don't do toast. Delicious breads and pastries. Lovely atmosphere sitting at one long table with everyone sharing yummy jams and chocolate spreads. Worth a visit.
