“Good choice for short stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2014 via mobile

We've stayed in Ibis Brugge for one night. As we travelled in Belgium by train the location was very convenient for us for early departure. The hotel is right next to the station, that on one hand is pros, on another hand it is cons because it's gonna be noisy in early mornings because the window is to the railways. Rooms are not too big but enough for 3 persons. Separate shower and toilet was benefit. Air conditioning and automatic light control was very convenient. Room was very clean and neat. Breakfast for extra 7,5 euros per person did not worth it's payment, I would prefer another place.
I will definitely recommend the hotel for short trips in Brugge! By the way, amazing town!

This hotel is literally beside the train station in Bruges. When you exit the station, walk about 100 metres. Stay close to the buildings (not the side where the taxis and buses are waiting). On the right hand side you will see a set of escalators. Take them up one flight. You will see an electronics store on the right side, keep walking and you will come to an elevator. Take it one flight up, or take the stairs. The hotel will be right in front of you.

This is a budget hotel. It is rated 1 star but given its location and overall cleanliness, I would say it is much closer to a 2.5 star. The room was incredibly small but also extremely functional. My husband and I were traveling with our teenaged daughter and we felt rather confined. However, it really did meet our basic needs.

One night was fine - but I would not have been comfortable staying longer as we could not get away from each other!

Check in was smooth and the room was clean. I would stay at this property again with one other person - 3 was too many. My daughter slept on a bunk over our heads!

As for getting in to Bruges, bus service is excellent to the city centre. If you buy a 10 ride pass for 10 Euro, you can share the pass among your party. A taxi to your hotel could easily cost 10 Euro for one ride.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that does not face the train tracks!

Just park in Centrum train station car park, hotel next to it. Typical Ibis budget. Clean, small room, perfectly adequate. Would definitely stay again. 60€ pn. 15 min walk into centre of town. Pleasant staff. Car park €3.50 per 24 hrs.

located on a railway station. They had problems with a card payments and insisted on us paying in cash rather than keeping a passport as security deposit or some alternative solution. For this, we were kept waiting some 20 minutes in lobby before given a room. Then, room is extremely small and can't provide enough space for 3 ocupants with their (even small) bags. Surprisingly, Breakfast was good and reasonably priced. Bruggy is a beautifull town and it's better to stay closer to downtown.. next time.

Room Tip: all rooms are same, don't expect anything good here

Here's a guide to finding this hotel, which is well concealed in a large complex containing the main railway station, apartments, retail outlets, and a large two storey car park.
First set your GPS to the coordinates provided, which will take you to the front of the railway station. As there is no indication of a hotel here, perform three laps of the block in heavy traffic, returning to the same place each time.
Next, park your car illegally and explore the area on foot. Try the Railway station, the apartment block, the retailers, and the car park. Eventually you will spot two elevators with the Ibis logo.
Return to your car, enter the large car park and head for the west side of the top floor by the elevators. Take the elevators and the hotel is revealed.
Finally, complain angrily to the receptionist about the lack of signage. She is used to this and will have her excuses ready for you

I stayed here for 3 nights with a friend. The room was clean and the service was good. There is no bar or place to have lunch or dinner in the hotel but plenty nearby. There are vending machines which sell snacks. We had our bicycles with us , which were not allowed to stay in the room with us. Luckily there is a bike park next to the hotel and a car park. The car park is only 3.5 euro per 24hrs. The shower in the room is badly designed, whenever you have a shower the room practically flooded. These things aside, I would probably stay again, due to the location and reasonable price.

Don't expect any fancy pictures on the wall or fancy amenities, but for what you pay it is certainly clean and the staff are more than happy to help on Reception.
I think what really stands out for this hotel is the location. There are a couple of food places very close by, and then the Train Station (note you can hear some train noise from the rooms but this didn't bother us or effect our sleep at all!) and Bus Station are a 2 minute walk away. Buses to the centre of Brugge are frequent & about a 5minute journey to the centre... and it's also a lovely walk if the weather's nice.
There is a car park next to the hotel which is perfect, you have to pay but I wouldn't say it's overpriced.
An overall pleasant stay for a reasonable price.
