A visit to the charming town of Bruges (Brugge) in Belgium offers many good food choices, like the standard mussels and frites, and also tasty dishes like duck and rabbit -- all good. But on our third evening, for something different, we tried the Greek restaurant, El Greco, owned and run by a Belgian-born Greek who visited with us at our table. A party of 5, we ordered a variety of dishes and were very satisfied with them all. Try the "cold starters" tamasu and tzadziki. Our best entrees were the lamb chops and the stuffed Greek burger. We chose 2 bottles of a Greek wine that none of us had ever had before, and enjoyed it. Prices a very reasonable.
It's located at Sint Jakob Straat 48, not far off the main square.
