When you're cold, hungry and tired from walking around the city, you simply don't care if the place is touristic or not. This happened with us while visiting the Meridian. But we were not dissapointed by the food quality.
The Flemish stew was extremely delicious, practically melting in the mouth. Served with fresh vegetables and fries, its enough to feed the hungriest of visitors. However, better take the complete menu, even if you're not sure about your eating abilities it's cheaper than ordering a single meal. Cherry beer is served with nuts and the desserts are gorgeous. Would like to come back for their ice-cream some day...
In general, the restaurant is a bit overprized, but thats what you expect to pay for the great view on the market square.
