“Amazing property and hospitality.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2013

This was our second time at La Maison Zenasni (so must have been impressed and happy enough to return). It is an amazing building and I love staying in such surroundings, the grandeur of the rooms and decorating style compliment each other terrifically well. The breakfasts are delightful and nothing is too much trouble. Mr Z. was as hospitable as ever and genuinely seemed to hope that our stay was ideal. It was, the location is perfect and we love Bruges so made the most of being able to pop out and pop back! This time, the road at the front seemed noisy, I can sleep just about anywhere and even though I was woken up on more than one occasion I was able to drift off again. This isn't a tranquil spot, it wouldn't stop us visiting again. We stayed in The White apartment this time, self catering was the idea. we did manage, but be warned the cooking facilities are limited (one microwave/ combo grill thingy!). the kids weren't too concerned as the excellent WiFi made up for simple warmed up meals most nights (priorities!). Definitely recommended especially if you like rooms on a large scale and great locations.

I only have good things to say about this B&B. The room we rented, the Red Room, was unexpectedly large. Although the floor and the closets made a lot of (creaking) noise, this actually added to the authentic atmosphere of an old, stately mansion, situated right in the middle of Bruges. Everything we wanted to see in Bruges was easily within walking distance of the B&B.
The owner was very nice and set great breakfasts.
I´d definitely recommend La Maison Zenasni to anyone going to Bruges!

Such a beautiful building that has been beautifully restored. We stayed in the Red Room and it is absolutely huge. It could have been carved up to make 4 rooms. The breakfast was great and served in a wonderful eating area. The owner was very nice to speak to about the history of the building and the restoration process. Every time I walked into the building it amazed me. Highly recommended for anyone that wants a very unique and wonderful place to stay in Brugge.

Room Tip: Red Room was amazing, but the others looked great too.

The "White Room" is at the top of the stairs on the 3rd floor, which is accessible only by stairs. It gave our family of four ample room with its 2 good-sized bedrooms, a lovely kitchen, a sitting room and one small bathroom, which was added on the side of the kitchen. The bathroom could have been improved upon, but this was minor. All in all, the B&B was very charming with a view of the belfry and other town spires from the kitchen and a quite street out the backside from the bedrooms. Large, uneven wooden planks make up the uneven floors, which also adds to the old world charm. Check in was easy as the owner had given us the door code to let ourselves in. Our name was on the room door. Breakfast was good. Even though the location is convenient to the main tourist part of Brugge, it is very quiet and feels like a local neighborhood. Great wireless service, too!

Room Tip: There are only three.

The hotel is a family-run business (literally if you walk too far down a corridor you end up in their house) and is set in a lovely building where most nights a log fire was burning in the front room. We stayed in the blue room which was decorated in victorian style with incredibly high ceilings and an amazingly tall door! The room was huge and beautifully decorated and the big bed incredibly comfortable. The only downside of the blue room being that the bathroom was out of the room and down the stairs and it was literally freezing in the bathroom!

The family who own it were friendly and the continental breakfasts were exceptionally good with a wide variety of food available. They even have a cat who let himself into our room, very cute!!

The positioning was pretty central being just a few roads away from the tower. The city is beautiful and well worth visiting!

It was good value for money and the family clearly make efforts to ensure their guests enjoy their stay, I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it!

We stayed 29th Nov to 2nd DEC 2012. Very friendly owner, this is not a hotel but a large Town house with great original features, huge rooms with original features. Breakfast was good and plentiful, Good location within walking distance of all Brugge has to offer, though parking is restricted to long stay in Bus depot on T-Zand, at 8.70euro/24hrs.
If you want a good Itallian Meal try Corlyto's around the corner towards the Berg square. Great food good portions. at 13.00euro. If you want on suit take the Red room, not the Blue, though you have a private bathroom on the landing.

Room Tip: take the red room

Do you love high ceilings, creaky floorboards, a spacious room, shuttered windows?
Well you'll love La Maison Zenasni! Everything was parred back to a natural finish, so lovingly restored. The home has an interesting history if you can get to chat with Djamil as we did. Location is wonderful for exploring old Bruges, & a great vegetarian cafe down the street.

Room Tip: The red room is so spacious with its own bathroom.
