“Bad, bad, bad!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

On arrival "welcomed" with gruff enquiry as to whether we had booked. Then brusquely directed to a table. Should have left then but had seen a favourable review so stayed. Tried to order one of the lamb dishes but told no lamb with a hint that it was stupid to expect it! Joined my wife ordering a "porkam" in mustard dish thinking it was a pork steak. Told it was ham so a bit of confusion. Anyway what arrived was the most unappetising huge lump of ham on a bone with a few salad leaves and separate sauce. No vegetables. The food was delivered in a very unfriendly fashion with a flash of aggression when one of our party did not hear his dish being announced. The ribs ordered by one of us were passable but no more. We ate what we could and left ASAP. Based on our experience its amazing this place has any customers as its overpriced and without any redeeming features.

“So-so food, but family friendly”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

We made a reservation for 10 plus a baby for a group dinner. They provided a high-chair for the one-year old and were very accommodating for the children. We ordered the all-you-can-eat Thai spicy ribs, which were underwhelming. While flavorful, (the sauce added some good flavor, but wasn't spicy by any means) the ribs were dry, overcooked and somewhat small. Luckily the all-you-can-eat part of the dish made up for it, as we ate three slabs each.

Overall a good atmosphere and very accommodating to a group with kids although the food was okay.

“Great atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

We read about this in a guidebook (thanks Rick Steves) Great food. Great, interesting menus. Candles on every table (mind the menu round the fire!) We caught ours on fire. Seems to happen to many of them. Upon entering we were asked if we had a reservation. Having stubled into the location only by chance, we of course did not. No problem! Despite most tables being occupied we were seated after a few moments next to the bar. A two seat table, perfect for two. After a bit of time we were served some great local beers from De Half Moon brewery. We had Zot blonde. After being wholesomely entertained by the menu, we settled upon having the Lasagna (the cheapest meal on the menu 8,95) Food was hot and flavorful. Well worth a visit. Don't walk past the curtain if you see the orange cone!
