“Great Atmosphere, Friendly Service, Unl. Frites...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013

I sat down at this location around 10pm on a Sat. evening and not very many people were there at the time. When I placed my order they informed me that the kitchen was about to close so I needed to be quick. Despite this being mildly annoying they accommodated me quickly and courteously. My steak (with amazing sauce I might add) came with unlimited fries so they told me, unfortunately I was only able to get two full plates (despite sort of wanting a third) because the kitchen was more or less closed by that time. The atmosphere is decked in word and red (kind of a red velvet type feeling) and at the time I went it was pretty dark. Overall, the location is "off to the side" but not inconvenient and the food was super delicious. I will make it a point to return to this location when I return to Brugge.

“Well prepared Mussels”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

We appreciated very tasty and well prepared mussels with the inevitable french fries and a local dark beer called "Donker". Our table was located in calm surroundings in a garden patio in side the restaurant. Service was fast and and polite. It was a good experience and nothing negative to point out.

“Best Restaurant closest to Acadmie Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013

About 150 metre from our Hotel towards the Canal. Excellent traditional Bruges venue with a wide ranging menu of local dishes. Cost around 25-30 Euros per person with very little wine included! The local stew was first rate and bowl of mussels was very good. Well worth a visit, just past Vivaldi Restaurant.

“Sit outside and watch the world go by.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013 via mobile

Standard tourist fare, but in a fairy take location. We sat outside in front, but there is also a delightful garden behind the restaurant (on a rainy day, even the interior is cosy and atmospheric).

The food was okay (the Dame Blanche was probably the best I've had in a while), but the views were amazing. The waiters were charming, cheerful, patient, and helpful. It was just what we wanted at the time.

“Baby lobster lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2013

Ok so clearly this is a tourist spot and with some recent overpriced bad food in bruges our expectations were low. However a lunch of shrimp fritters, well cooked and seasoned, followed by a lobster salad was actually very good. Several lunch deals but as with seemingly everywhere in bruges you pay top prices for often mediocre food. The more interesting choices were on the carte. The spot is good, and of the local places this was for us the best of a bad bunch.
