We ate out six evenings in Bruges this August, and the De Huzaar has to take the prize for best all round dining experience of the week.
It is a formal restaurant, with a great atmosphere, attentive staff, and most importantly first class food.
We booked earlier in the day, and found the restaurant full at 8pm. We have eaten here in previous years and decided to stick to the tried and tested classic dishes. My wife has coq au vin and had the lamb casserole. Both were delightful The portions are generous, and we were both glad we didn't have starters.
Two rounds of beer and two mains came to just over 52 euros. This is excellent value for money, in comparison to other similar restaurants in Bruges.
