“Large portions, average food and very slow service! ”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2014

Must say I hadn't looked at prior reviews before coming here - but as some of the others have mentioned this place has some key drawbacks.

Firstly it's very expensive at around 15 Euros per dish. At least the portions are large! Quality of the food is average - nothing special really. The restaurant is quite small and can unfortunately feel quite cramped as a result.

The main problem here is the service times and the cold nature of the staff. It took 20 min before we got a menu, another 40 min before food and the waiter was so busy (only one waiter) that we had to wait another 20 min for the bill as he was chatting to other customers.

Overall, this was a poor (and long!) experience...

“Ridiculously Overpriced, but Nice Food”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2014

This is a small place, with a few regulars for take-away (mostly locals) and probably some lost tourists. This restaurant is never packed, which is understandable since all comments I've read here are actually true. The food is not spectacular, rich with cream, and comes in rather small portions, with sometimes too little difference in taste between dishes. The waiter is also the owner and the guy is not the most welcoming, warm character one would expect in an Indian restaurant. Some would find him rude.
This restaurant is ridiculously overpriced, without any reason: average food, lack of warmth in service, dull interior.

“Great food and homely feel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2014

Excellent punjabi food served from a great kitchen!!!! Loved the Indian way of service, felt @ home. Pricey but worth the quality... I see people complaining about water being charged. Not many cities in Europe serve water for free. Brugge is no exception, I believe.

If you want to taste really authentic and spicy food, request the gentleman to serve punjabi style and trust me.... It's worth the request :-).

“Worst we've ever experienced”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2014

Food gross, service...what service!! Waiter has a serious attitude problem, extortionate price and certainly did not tip.
Worst Indian food experience we've ever had in over 20 years.

“Service- Horrible, Food- Average, Price- rip off!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2014

The waiter was unfriendly to the extent of being rude. The restaurant is over priced and a total rip off. The waiter did not tell us that a glass of TAP WATER will be charged and to our surprise and anger, he charged us EUR 7.50 for 3 glasses of TAP WATER!!! On complaining that he should have informed us or atleast serve us mineral water, he got angry and said that this is Belgium and that's how it works here. We were so surprised as we had dined in a very famous indian restaurant in Brussels the evening before and it was not the case.

Please search for some other restaurant or double check with the waiter what is he charging for. This would help to avoid unpleasant surprises and rude behavior of the waiter. However, better avoid than regret!
