“Another relaxing and enjoyable break”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2011

After five previous visits to the Trelawne, this latest one did not disappoint. The catering in the bright and airy restaurant was up to the usual high and imaginative standard we had come to expect and the hotel's position high above Falmouth Bay afforded the accustomed panoramic views from our spaceous and comfortable en suite bedroom. It is a pity that more holiday makers do not take advantage of all that the hotel and its location, e.g. in beautiful countryside, close to the Cornish Coastal Path and Trebah and Glendurgan Gardens, has to offer. We shall certainly be back!

Room Tip: Room 21- best views of many out over Falmouth Bay

Just finished our fifth stay and always meet fellow guests who have been before. Great location for visiting the gardens of Cornwall, Trebah our favourite, and exploring the Helford River, Falmouth and further away. Very friendly, comfortable and excellent food. Off the "beaten track" and all the better for it. Swimming pool c losed. Hope to go back next year, same room !

What a little gem we found, the hotel and the staff were wonderful. The room we occupied was large, clean and the decor was bright and fresh. The view from our room over Falmouth Bay was incredible. We just hope the owner/manager and the chef never leave, because we will return. Thank you for a very well needed relaxing break.

The service was excellent. The room clean and comfortable and unpretentious. All basics worked well; heating, hot water and ventilation. Parking easy

The food was excellent and dining was a pleasant experience.

The location is superb for many small trips and garden visits, and very close to costal foot path

The hotel is located on the brow of a hill so the views are quite astounding. Excellent walking country or just a short car journey to the beautiful villages and small townships around the Helford and Fal rivers. The exciting, bustling and interesting port town of Falmouth is less than a 15 minute drive away although you will find this hard to believe in view of the hotel's tranquil setting.

This part of Cornwall is rich in fascinating, open gardens teeming with sub-tropical blossoms even in early April. The location also provides an ideal centre for exploring the whole of south-west Cornwall.

Our comfortable and well-appointed room afforded views across the whole sweep of Falmouth Bay and of the surrounding countryside. Room service was both discreet and efficient.

It is almost impossible adequately to describe the quality and variety of the cuisine. It makes all those over-rated, egotistical television chefs look completely incompetent! Every evening was an epicurean delight - My wife and I could not recall such fine dining anywhere in the world even at many times the price. The proprietor should lock up the chef every night to ensure that he is not stolen by some international hotel group.

The hotel is under the direct management and control of the proprietor and the staff are friendly and helpful. We are just wondering how soon we can return to Trelawne.

Room Tip: Try a different menu each night.
