“Lovelly evening in traditional belgium restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

I have just had a delicious 3 course meal in this restaurant and wow what a meal, started with Scallops, followed by Ham hock, and 3 chocloate mouse desert. Service was great, atmosphere was lovelly and very very busy for a wet and windy Tuesday in January.
Restaurant has Michelin 2013 Bib Gourmand and is well deserved offering a fine selection of oyster and lobster dishes if you fancy either. Well worth a visit if budget is no issue. 3 course meal plus bottle of average wine cost roughly 90 Euro

Wonderful building, imaginative and tasty food, sublime service. Many dishes to chose from and a good list from the bar too. You must visit here!

“top rate restaurant in historical building”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

The restaurant is located in a former warehouse, the decoration is modern and offers a lot to see. We had a table in the center on the ground floor of the restaurant. As we know the restaurant quite well, we asked for it when we reserved the table.
There are different menus, if not you can choose meals à la carte but this is more expensive. Extensive wine list including bins from France and the New World. Also many bins offered by the glass. If you hesitate, ask the server and he will advise you on the wine which is suitable to your meal. No stress needed.
Note: although located in the heart of the city, the restaurant is not very visible and located in a small street; please print the plan if you do not know the site.

“A fun place with very good food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2013

The hardest thing about Pakhuis was finding it. It's on a little side street off the Korenmarkt in Ghent. But once we found it, we were overjoyed. The decor is fascinating and fun, our server was very helpful with all kinds of interesting facts, and the food and drink were quite satisfying.

I had a duck breast and frites, prepared perfectly. The red wine that was suggested to pair with my meal was wonderful - nice and peppery. My wife had mussels and my mother-in-law had a salmon filet with pasta - both enjoyed their meals a great deal. My wife tried the famous house beer, and said it was quite good.
