My wife and I stayed here for two nights in May on holiday, and I've been here twice before that for a total of 11 nights. I've always been happy with this choice and I now make it a point to stay there when I can. This is a converted home, with three rooms for rental. Each one has its own character, and the owners have provided pictures of the renovation work and clearly care about the property and are very welcoming to guests. The garden out back is a great backdrop if you choose one of the two back-facing rooms. Our room (Fanny) is the smallest, and it is cozy. But even so has its own toilet and shower, a small table for eating, and ample storage. Public areas for breakfast and a garden-facing area to relax really round out the experience. The included reakfast is very good - as you'd expect in Gent!
I like its out-of-the-bustle location just a block from a small park in the millionaire's district in the south area of town, but be aware it's a few km into the heart of historic Gent from here - yet it is accessible to the train station and to the Lijn, so it's easy to get wherever you're going. Since it's a home there are no amenities such as gym and swimming pool, but what you get in exchange is a more quiet, personal touch with your stay.
