“Not what we expected”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2014

From the hotel pictures we were expecting a nice old house, but the hotel is actually in the back patio of the property and is being renovated. It was clean, the staff was friendly, but the overall look is not very nice. We won't be comming back.

Good hotel and size room for the money, a bit out of the main town but a good walk will find you in the main town. If you paRK in Reep 2 come out and turn left and then right this will take you to a square, cross over the square and looking at the church the hotel is on the left hand corner across the road.

The hotel offer in Ghent is limited, so it was not my choice, but I can accept to spend not to much for one night. The room was very small, but very quiet and simple good breakfast. Parking at 300 meters 13 € for 1 day 5 h.

Room Tip: Ask for a large room, if exists

3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

We stayed for 3 nights. The hotel is a little outside the city center, which means 5-15min walking to get to the interesting part of the city (if you visit Gent in March like I did that means you have to take heavy clothing with you!).
It is obviously a family buisiness, must admit they are really friendly and sweet but the facilities are really old, well renovated with modern decoration but still...really old.
No telephone in the rooms, very complicated spaces (you certainly need a map to find the reception), no wi-fii (you have to ask for a cable to connect) and too much noise in the room. I could hear every single person walking at the corridors. Pretty good breakfast though.

This hotel was SUPER nice! I arrived with my partner to be welcomed by reception, directed to our room. It was such a large room with a beautiful bed spread. The room was right next to the cannel so we woke up to see ducks floating by in the morning. The rooms were very clean and service was spot on, these guys know what they are doing and what people expect. The location was close to many parks in the area and a short walk to the center of town. I look forward to visiting this hotel again in the future. We loved the value of the hotel, even though it didn't include breakfast as there were so many nice places to choose from anyhow. Well worth every penny and it made the visit that much more special.

Room Tip: My tip would be to make sure you book a room in this hotel. You are doing yourself a favour.

Run by a family, this cosy small establishment is quite comfortable, though the rooms are very small. All the rooms appear to have been built recently and the location of the hotel is not very far from major attractions. It is also easily reachable. The breakfast spread is good but repetitive. The owner family is very nice and helpful. Wifi is a problem. I thought that the room rates are on a higher side for the hotel of this standard. Altogether it is a Nice and cosy place to stay.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2012

Stylish room, with a spacious, modern 'bathroom'. Very comfortable bed. Excellent shower with lots of hot water. We had 2 great nights of sleep; very quiet location away from the street in a lovely garden. Just over 10 minutes from the historic center. We thought this hotel was good value, even without breakfast or paying for Wi-Fi! The owners were helpful and offered good advice on where to visit and how to use public transport. Bikes are available from the hotel for 6.50 Euros a day. We highly recommend this hotel for a weekend break.
