We'd often seen LPQ near The Festival Hall in London but had never visited. The one in Ghent was very near to our hotel & in fact I hadn't realised it was a branch of LPQ until we were halfway through breakfast. It was so good we went there each morning of our three-night stay.
The food is lovely - a wide range of breads, a choice of various fruity things with or without yogurt, lots of nice jams on the tables, lovely butter, soft boiled eggs - it's just so good! It's not particularly cheap but the most I paid for two of us was €18 which was still €10 cheaper than if we'd had breakfast in the Ibis where we were staying.
And the interior is really nice - scrubbed tables either for two, four or one large table. The staff are very friendly.
My only criticism - my scrambled eggs came rather too quickly to have been cooked from scratch and when I ate them, I suspected that they'd been pre-cooked then heated up. And the helping was a bit meagre! Other than that, everything was excellent, including the soft-boiled eggs.
