This is a very beautiful church with the oldest part dating back to the 13th century. It would be just an ordinary gothic church, with nice windows, high walls, some statues and some paintings if not for the ceiling.
The whole ceiling is painted with flowers, animals, ornaments, very colourful and bright and literally hundreds of little details to spot and discover. Very special and extremely seldom in churches.
On sundays at 2 pm there is a guided tour by a guy who plays an actual historical chractar, for 9 € you get a two hour exhaustive tour of the cathedral and the treasury. Only in french but if you can understand french, very nice and entertaining.
The treasury shows not only the terasures from the cathedral but also from the surrounding churches so it has some very nice pieces of silver to offer. Certainly worth some money and time if you are interested in those matters.
