We visited Liege Aquarium and Natural History Museum in September 2012. The aquariums were well set out and a good size, with an interesting selection of fish, including one I had never seen in any other aquarium. There was a variety of freshwater and marine fish.
The Natural History Museum was excellent - containing many stuffed animals and birds, some displayed alongside the appropriate skeleton and in lifelike poses. There was a huge skeleton of a whale, giving an idea of the true size of these animals.
This is my idea of what a natural history museum and aquarium should be like, and everyone who visits Liege (or any other place in Belgium - we went for the day from Oostende) should visit.
