We visited Au Point de Vue on the recommendation of our Hotel concierge and were were not disappointed.
A cold December Saturday night and the place was completely full, we had to wait about 15 mins for a table and there were people waiting outside for the whole time we were there. The restaurant centrally situated close the the centre of town near Place St Lambert.
The staff were very busy and because of the number of diners the service was quite slow (apparantly it is the same every Saturday night).
The menus is extensive and the offers include many local specialities such as the "Bulots Liegeois, meatballs in a very special sauce. our choices were:
Wine -Val de Loire Chinon Chateau de Ligre.
Oysters natural with champagne
Gambas in Ricard liqueur
Beef Pave a la Liegois, overcooked but that was my fault.
Poultry in Sour Cherries.
Each of the dishes was well prepared, well presented and served with a smile and we enjoyed our meal thoroughly. We discoved from the owner in a later converstaion, that they only have avery smal kitchen and every Saturday night they only just cope, so if you are in a hurry maybe you should try another night.
We would recommednd this restaurant and we will go agai the next time we are in Liege.
