“Like in a living room...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013 via mobile

You feel like at home here. The ambiance is elegant but not pretentious, like if you had a good dinner with friends at home in your nice living room. Tables are close but not too close to each other. Diffused light but not dark. Very efficient service, courteous but not intrusive. The wine list is very Italian and pretty complete with very reasonable prices. Last but not least, the food! We tried the 30 euro menu and were very surprised with the appearance and the quality of both raw materials and cooking. Taste of Italy revisited by a French...interesting result. Really, a place I recommend.

“Constantly good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2013

one of my favourite places in Brussels, located in a mainly residential area far away from the tourist track. Well worth a visit, especially the 3 course menu for 30 Euro is fabulous value for money. One of the very few restaurants in the capital where one can dine in style at that price. Not always easy to park the car though, luckily there's a metro station nearby.

“Expectations fully met”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2012

We went for a second time for our wedding anniversary to this restaurant and we will certainly go there again. The food was interesting and tasty at very reasonable prices. You get excellent value for your money which is so rare in Belgium in whatever sector. The restaurant was full and people around were quite talkative but that didn't bother me as for me a restaurant is a place for socialization anyway. I was surprised when at the end the waiter excused for the noise but after reading the negative comments here now I understand his worries. In general the staff were quite nice, not intrusive and rather friendly. The dishes were coming faster than expected provided that there were so many guests to serve. So as always - your satisfaction depends on your expectations. Ours were completely met!

“Meets the Desription Good Meals at Reasonable Prices”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2012

Have eaten here twice this year and on each occasion have been satisfied.
The most recent visit in December began spectacularly with two great items on the generously portioned amuse bouches tray - an unctuous foam of mortadella and a cream of horsradish. Wow!
Then we had the 30 Euro menu - cepes soup which was rich in both texture and flavour, followed by rolls of pheasant wrapped in parma ham, and then a plate of 5 different Italian cheeses (for a supplement of 2 Euro!).
Quite frankly, I do not know how they make any profit given the ingredients and the portions - I guess the profits come from the fact that the place was full (on both visits). The wine list was very good with wines honestly priced.
This place really meets Michelin's description of "Good Meals at Reasonable Prices"

“Unfortunately this was a little deceiving...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012

We went to this restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary, I have chosen it because of its good feedbacks...
The good things: Wines quite good. Very creative 'amuse-gueules' and entries... But then...
the bad things: Service is slow, it is clearly understaffed... so we had to wait a long time for the main dishes.... The accoustics are not good, it is a noisy restaurant... dishes which were not bad, but not extraordinary either, not a nice presentation, a regular maigret de canard lacking of charm. Same for the desserts, not bad but...

Too bad it did not finish as well as it began... it is a pity...
