“Great Neighborhood B&B in Brussels”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

Quiet B&B located in a neighborhood that is within walking distance of the city center but outside of the tourist rush. We had a room on one of the upper floors - very spacious, with skylights, hardwood floors and a large bathroom with a walk-in shower and double sinks. There is free WIFI access and multiple language television in the room. There are several good and reasonably priced restaurants nearby, including La Villette. Breakfast consisted of breads, cheeses, juice and cold cuts, and the owners will prepare eggs if you wish. Definitely recommended if you are looking for a reasonably priced neighborhood experience in Brussels.

Friendly hosts, comfortable rooms and delicious breakfast with easy access to transit, the Grand Place, Moeder Lambic, Cantillon, and the Magritte Museum. Our hosts gave great suggestions of where to eat and things to do. We ate some really excellent croissants with cream honey during our stay there that I will not soon forget. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and had an even larger and more comfortable bathroom. I ended up popping into Lush for a bath bomb so I could make use of the exquisitely large bath tub.

A good attention to detail from our arrival & greeting, to breakfast in the downstairs breakfast room. A lovely room with ultra modern bathroom, & a little balcony off the bedroom. The neighbourhood is full of a variety of restaurants & a good night-time vibe. The streets were being upgraded in the surrounding area which made it a little difficult for the taxi-driver to get right to the front door what with road closures but that wont last long & the improvement will further lift the appearance of the area. Dont let this put you off. We had a very pleasant stay & would recommend Maison Noble.

Room Tip: The balcony gave an extra sitting area to relax in especially good for a drink at sunset.

Our host was really kind, gaves us lots of information of places to go, transports... so great. It was a wonderful stay - the rooms are spacious, very comfortable, with nice décor. Breakfast was delicious (great cheese and croissants!!). Location is perfect, in a walking distance of Grand Place, and of a metro station (St. Catherine), from where one can reach every places of interest in town, although is a quiet neighbourhood, perfect to take a good rest. Highly recommended.

Matthew and Martin welcomed us to Maison Noble and oriented us to Brussels. Our room was on the second floor. It was large with a comfortable bed and wonderful, modern bathroom. Maison Noble is in a perfect spot- within walking distance of all the major shopping and museums and yet in a safe neighborhood.
Breakfast was wonderful. Matthew goes to the bakery each morning to buy bread and fresh croissants. Martin made us wonderful French press coffee.
Service was superb. We stayed here only two nights. On our last morning, both Matthew and Martin got up early to provide us with breakfast before our taxi that Matthew arranged arrived.
The house is beautifully restored with a gorgeous glass window in the breakfast room. We found the house to be very comfortable. We would recommend Maison Noble and would stay here again.

Room Tip: Maison Noble is in a neighborhood, so there are street noises.

A delightful B and B walking distance (about 10 minutes) from the Grand Place and readily accessible to most of the other attractions in Brussels (if you can fathom their bus/metro/tram route maps!).

This was a really great place to stay in a primarily residential area of 1800s houses - we were made very welcome and even if our room on the top floor (no lift) seemed a long way up at the end of the day, it was a spacious room with a top class bathroom.

Our host, Brendan, was welcoming and very helpful throughout our stay and was very interesting to talk to. We had to deter him from carrying our heavy bags from the top floor when we left, it would have been unfair! We had an excellent breakfast each day, with a range of continental options, and others if you asked - and plenty of tea/coffee/fresh pressed orange juice.

The whole house (from the 1820s) was beautifully restored and a little gem of peace and (generally) quiet - we would have no hesitation in recommending this to prospective B and B guests in Brussels, it really is a splendid and restful place. We were told we could use the front room and the grand piano if the owners were in the house - the room is really magnificent - and breakfast is served in a room with a beautiful art nouveau leaded light window, added when the house was extended in the 1920s, on the end wall.

Only one downside, which is personal rather than the fault of the owners - whilst this part of Brussels is generally peaceful and quiet, our room on the top floor faced the street and we either needed the air conditioning 'on' (which makes a gentle fan noise - unavoidable) or had to open the windows which admitted the noise of traffic on the cobbled street below, (and sirens from further away), the occasional banter of conversation from passers by and the drone of aircraft, particularly in the morning. If you are a light sleeper, ask for a room at the rear! But we would not fault the B and B for this - living in a quiet suburb, I am, sadly, a light sleeper.

This is a gem and we would recommend it to anyone looking for a good value stay in Brussels.

Room Tip: If you are a light sleeper, ask for a room at the rear - and there is no lift.

Delicious breakfast and friendly hosts at this quiet guest house/B&B. Situated a block from excellent restaurants, a ten minute walk from the "Grand Place" and 2 blocks from a Blondeel Chocolate store. Breakfast consisted of fresh croissants, breads, was served in a renovated 1800's kitchen, with beautiful stained glass windows. Don't miss this one!

Room Tip: Book early - limited number of rooms.
