A little bit off the beaten track, this is a great place to have some delicious Greek food. While Greek food is delicious as a general statement, this restaurant brings a truly delicately prepared version of it. The host was a real gentleman, welcomed us in one of the two sitting areas with a very different athmosphere : one is cool (essentially white), the other is rustic (essentially bare brown brick).
With 3 kids and same number of different tastes, we asked the host for a selection of cold and hot mezze dishes, which came in 2 rounds, and both presentation and quality of the products emanated from every single dish. In order of preference, we had :
Taramossalata – tarama blanc nature : so smooth, so subtle
Poulpe grillé, sauce au citron : mouth watering, undecided whether to prefer it over the calamars
Calamars frits : mouth watering, undecided whether to prefer it over the poulpe
Porc cuit à feux doux à l’huile d’olive, celeri et carottes, accompagné d’une purée de celeri rave : melts in the mouth
Boulettes grillées à la menthe, salade de courgette marinée au citron, menthe et miel : you have to be an amateur of the meat/mint combination, but if you are, this is it
Roulades d’aubergines farcies à la viande haché : subtle
Tyropitakia (pâte feuilletée au feta) : maybe a little too subtle, although we think we may have had the epinard version with little feta taste
Salade "Strofilia" avec épinards frais, scampis, poulpe : maybe a little too subtle
Tzatziki: maybe a little too subtle
