“Excellent comfortable restaurant, traditional style.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 29, 2012

My favourite place. It's a bit out from town centre, but just very congenial, well-presented without being too stuffy, serves good French/Belgian food (often grilled on the open fire) and has a good wine list.

“A Hidden Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2012

This lovely restaurant is located in the Woluwe ST. Pierre suburb of Brussels on a residential street. The inside is rather small but filled with a lovely fireplace which is lit in the winter and a very pleasant outdoor patio for use in the warm weather The staff is charming and friendly to all who enter. The food is well prepared with special offered in addition to the regular menu. Grilled meats (cooked in the fireplace) are some of the specialties. Be warned, however, that this special place fills up quickly so be sure to make reservations in advance. There is limited parking in the entrance way but street parking is also possible.

“Still a good restaurant but the staff let it down....”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2011

Was delighted to get a last minute reservation here. Was a fan of this restaurant a couple of years ago but with all the choices in Brussels I hadn't been back in a while. The restaurant itself is as warm and welcoming as ever (very classic).
The menu offers a good variety of french cusine with one of the house specialities being meat cooked on the open fire. Two of our group opted for the 4 course menu which at €38 was excellent value and the food did not disappoint. Up until this point I really cannot find any complaints, unfortunately though as the evening went on it became more apparent that the staff wanted everyone to finish up as quickly as possible and leave. Half way during the main course they came over and cleared away the basket of bread and salt and pepper! One of the group was still enjoying her remaining potato along with the delicious Bernaise sauce when that was cleared from in front of her (she literally had her fork mid way between the dish and her mouth!). When we commented on this to the waiter he just shrugged and continued on!
It was very strange behaviour because, there was no second service, it was not very late (23h) and we were not the last to leave.
So while I would recommend the location and the food I would certainly not rush back for the food. Pity!

“Very pleasant place with exquisite dishes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2011

L'Auberg'In restaurant is a very cosy place decorated with good taste, excellent and creative French cuisine, great care is placed on dishes, service with a smile, very attentive and helpful.

Good for a business lunch as well as for a romantic dinner or a family dinner.

Reservation could be very necessary.

Great cosy atmosphere and a truly Carl welcome. Quality bourgeois Belgian food. It certainly deserves its success: be sure to book IN advance... Worth it !
