We booked "Room A" for a few nights while traveling in Brussels. The room, which was more like an apartment, was a treat. After living in Europe for over a year it was easy to spot Ikea furnishings--which this place head plenty of--but that must be how they can offer the room so cheaply. Granted Brussels isn't a bustling tourist city like Paris or Rome, so expensive tarriffs would likely not go over well, but for about 70 euros a night this place can't be beat.
The room is at the top of a 3 or 4 story townhouse and there is no elevator, so be prepared for the hike up the stairs. The room was gigantic and offered a bed, couch, table, 2 night stands, free wireless internet, and a small (maybe too small) flat screen tv. The bathroom area was really nice, it had a saloon door separating it from the entry way, a stand up shower, toilet, sink and huge towl warmer.
The property is in the middle of the gay district, so on certain nights, the club next door will have loud techno music until late. No big deal though.
The location of the B&B is great. It was close to the subway and walking distance from the main town square and Christmas market (which was great fun. Nothing like drinking hot wine on a cold winter's day!)
Our room rate included breakfast but it was offered at the sister property Downtown BXL, which was next door. It was probably one of the most sparse European breakfasts I've had; juice, tea, toast, packaged waffles, yogurt, but that being said, on the floor below ours, there was a small kitchen where you could grab hot tea or stow snacks in the refrigerator for later.
Overall I would highly recommend this B&B for its tremendous value, location, and modern decor. Be sure to check out the Ethiopian restaurant around the corner...just delicious!
