Before we booked this hotel , we were thinking whether we should pay more for the Ibis which is located right in the centre of Grand Place but we were glad that we didnt as besides this hotel is a bit cheaper, it was nice to live a little further from the city centre, less busy , quieter and frankly, it was really not far walking from the hotel to the Grand Place, unless you had trouble walking, it was only a short distance and a pleasant walk from the Grand Place.
The hotel itself is small, so it is really just a long weekend hotel , we probably wont stay there if we stayed for more than 3 days as you couldnt do much in this hotel but for a short break, it would be an excellent choice! Internet access was reasonably well, dont expect super fast but still managed to get on most of the time which was better than many hotels. Staff were ok, wouldnt say they were super helpful for directions but friendly enough as we arrived quite late on friday night and the receptionist tried to check us in as fast as he could, breakfast was very good as we always like to have a big breakfast when traveling so we could spend all day sightseeing without worrying about lunch, and we could certainly do that with best western! The only problem was the housekeeper didnt seem like to refill the shampoo and tissue for us even with my husband left a very nice note (but i had the feeling the housekeeper probably couldnt read it !!) However, that was only a small thing ...
The hotel is only 3 mins walk from the Botanique metro station, so it is only 30 mins to get to the Atomium , it is about 10mins walk to the central station and that would be the stop to reach for the international airport.
For a short break in Brussels, we definitely recommend this hotel!
water pressure is very good but bathtab is very small so if you are big or cant stand a small bathta...
