“Ideal location for this great hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2013

I had a 4 night break at this new hotel with a great B&B deal from Accor. It was well worth the price. The reception area is different with staff standing around a smallish circular desk but check-in was quick (as was check-out). The staff were very pleasant, welcoming and helpful. The room was pleasantly furnished with a small working area. It had a long comfortable fixed settee under the large TV (so it was difficult to watch the TV from it). The large bed was very comfortable with large soft and firm pillows and just right for a good night's sleep. The bath was rather high but I managed to climb in to experience the rain shower - well worth the effort! A good range of toiletries was supplied. There was ample wardrobe and storage space. There was a Nespresso coffee maker as well as a kettle for tea making. The small mini-bar was supplied with free bottled water and coke (if you like that sort of thing). Overall, a pleasant and comfortable stay and so handy as it has a direct entrance from Bruxelles Midi station amd this entrance is just 50 metres from the Eurostar terminal and the Thalys/ICE platforms.

Whether you go to Brussels for business or pleasure, Pullman would suit since it is located inside the heart of Brussels, the Midi Rail Station. The rooms are soundproof, though it is next to train station. They ate modern and convenient and what impressed me was serving of Belgian Waffles for Buffet breakfast. The breakfast spread as such is quite good. The icing on the cake? The price of course! Real value for money

For us it was all about the location. WE traveled by train from Amsterdam and as you get off the train just walk a few steps an are right into this brand new funky feeling hotel. Not the best neighborhood, but you are staying there so you can take the subway to take you directly and in only 3 short stops to the central square. If traveling by train in and around Belgium this one is a no brainer. Next day we took a train to Brugges, no hassle from the lobby to the train and back.
As everyone else has mentioned its a brand new hotel, clean and for a 2 night stay its a Bargain.
My wife and I had breakfast across the street.

Members have written previously about the positive aspects of this relatively new hotel. It is comfortable, convenient, has good facilities and even if the design and bright lighting in rooms is not to everyone's taste, everything works properly. However, the innovative check-in area does not work efficiently or effectively, not least because of evident breaches in data protection: I could readily read without trying all the details of the guest who had checked in before me. There is plenty of space for a proper reception desk. This must be changed rapidly. The other problem was that the website stated clearly there was a swimming pool. What was meant was a sauna. This might have been changed on the website since then, but this was misleading and poor attention to detail. The breakfast buffet was good, but lacked a choice of wholegrain cereals and bread/rolls which should be improved to match competitors' breakfasts: go to breakfast early if you can to ensure food supply is adequate and the room is not too crowded.
The final recommendation to the hotel would be to employ an evening/night security guard since there is direct access from the station for anyone.

Extremely comfortable hotel, definitely 4 star, modern fittings, but let down slightly by indifferent maid service (wrong number of towels replaced and poor replenishment of coffee/tea ingredients), but this was swiftly resolved by a call to housekeeping services. Breakfast at €23 very pricy compared with outlets available within the station and city centre. Minimal noise from train station, road traffic or fellow guests, there must be exceptional sound suppression materials used in the building construction. Good tv including English programs (including for children) and selection of recently released dvd films. Room safe large enough for 17" laptops too. Free room wi-fi (good continuous signal and reasonably fast) available but not a secure network!

Booked through hotels.com at much better price than direct. Weekends much cheaper than weekdays.

Train, tram and metro station onsite and very convenient for travel throughout Brussels, only 5 minutes to city center (all underground, even by tram) or it can be walked in 30 minutes although some might find the route (although simply straight to the centre) through one of the immigrant communities less desirable to walk through.

There was lots going on in Brussels at the weekend, it was heaving with locals (and hoards of tourists added to the numbers, competing for space for photo opportunities and activities) because of free events in and around the Grote Markt, outside the palace gates and in the adjoining park, so we went to the Citadel Park outside of the centre only to find there was a massive multi-sports event taking place! All the rest of Brussels was like a ghost town!

There's loads of tourist restaurants in the narrow pedestrian streets surrounding the Grote Markt and price competion is fierce - ideal for those on a budget as we ate very well for very reasonably priced 'menus of the day' (which were the same everyday!), including free drinks.

We went back to the Grote Markt on several occasions and everytime we saw something different about the medieval buildings that completely surround that square- I suspect you'll never fully appreciate the workmanship despite how much you look at it.

Brussels is in the French speaking part of Belgium, but eveyone we spoke to had a sufficiently high level of English which would make it easy for a non-linguist.

Room Tip: Prices more competitive at weekends.

I am delighted that your experience in our hotel was a positive one and you enjoyed the quietness of the hotel. The glasses used ae the same as in airport, therefore, no noise could disturb any beauty sleep !

And I am sorry that your general impression was slightly let down by the housekeeping service, which was I believed resolved after a call.

Stayed at the Pullman for one night while stopping in Brussels for meetings. Took the Eurostar from London to Brussels. Hotel is located next to train station so it was incredibly convenient. There is nothing to do in the area and was told it was not very safe to walk, but because hotel is next to the station it was convenient to catch a train or a cab. The hotel had a modern look. It seemed either very new or recently renovated. Everything was well maintained and impeccably clean. Rooms had hard wood floors and built ins. Bathroom was large and had one of the best showers I've had in any hotel. Free movie rentals were an added bonus. Price was a great value. Down side would be the location. Although convenient the area was rough. Still, would recommend for business travelers or if you are traveling via train and just stopping in Brussels for a day.

Booked direct through Accor Hotels. Stayed with elderly relative with limited mobility. Rooms were excellent, super walk in shower which was much appreciated. Complimentary toiletries, Nespresso machine, soft drinks and free movies. Hotel located in Brussels Midi Station so very convenient for transport links. Staff very helpful. Breakfast very good selectiobn and quality, only negative comment would be severe lack of space around tables in breakfast room. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.
