“It does not look like the photos online”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2013

First of all the hotel does not look at all like the photos that can be found on their official web page. Beds are not comfortable and room was very cold (stayed in april). The breakfast was good. During my stay they were organizing some events in the lobby so guests could not use it completely

4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

Stayed with a group of friends at the White hotel as part of a weekend club scuba dive trip to Nemo 33, the world's deepest diving pool. Avenue Louise is a nice trendy street and is quite a walk to Grand Place, trams outside and metro close by so is easy to get around but not ideal if you want to be 'right' in the centre of things.

Room was clean and comfortable, nice little arty touches on the walls in a number of the rooms and free wi-fi throughout (yay!)
Self service breakfast (as most people have said) was plentiful, with the usual mainland european fayre of breads, pastries, do-it-yourself boiled eggs, cheese, ham, fruit, cereals and yoghurts along with a nice selection of teas and a fresh ground coffee machine. Although not a huge area seating was not at all cramped, light and airy and easily seated two groups of people with the rest of us dotted aroud the room, the breakfast area also had four or five booths with Apple Macs for a little internet trawling and email checking whilst nibbling on your morning toast ;o) nice touch.

There were, in fact, nice little touches everywhere and overall the White hotel felt very pleasant and I agree with other comments that if felt more than just your average run of the mill three star hotel - I see it's been taken over by IBIS so hope they don't change it too much, although perhaps it could do with a little nip and tuck face lift here and there. Overall, and despite the location which for us was not ideal, I would be very happy to stay there again.

This is only a 3 star hotel but in many ways seems much better. The best part - the breakfast. It was like going to a top class supermarket and choosing all your favourite foods and having them presented to you on the breakfast table. There were also Apple computers available to use in the dining room. the all white decor was also appealing. It was let down slightly by the rather off-hand staff at reception and by the fact that if you opened the French window in the bedroom, guests from other rooms could use the fire escape to enter the open door.

The hotel is located in Louise avenue. There you can find some good restaurants and shops. To reach the Grand Place you need to catch a taxy or tram.Metro is about 15 minutes walking.
Very nice breakfast for free. Some table have the pc and the use is free.Good for business while for tourists should be better something more near the centre.

On the plus side, the rooms may be a tad shabby and basic but they are clean. The buffet breakfast in the public lounge is very good and they have a couple of Apple Macs chained down which you can use for free.

On the negative side, it is true that the White Hotel has seen better days. It is tired and worn out and needs refurbishing to bring it into line with other (bear in mind more expensive) 3-star hotels in the area. We were on the tenth floor and could hear the lifts travelling up and down and guest room doors opening and closing, but this is due to the poor acoustics of the building. You would be advised to bring your own toiletries as what little is on offer is poor quality. The bath towels are old (but clean), as is the bedding, especially the very lumpy pillows. And disappointingly, there are no tea and coffee making facilities which is more or less standard these days. The receptionist is business-like and direct and would not win any charm contests, but do not take it personally - at least you know where you stand.

At just over 100 euros a night, I guess this is reasonable value for money in Brussels, taking into account its prime location on the Avenue Louise and the buffet breakfast. But it could be so much better if it was refurbished. I went there for a medical appointment so the hotel served its purpose, but on reflection, if I had gone as a tourist I would have been disappointed.

Room Tip: Ask for a room far away from the lift shafts

Very unfriendly and rude recepionists. We asked them to book some taxis, they agreed and when the time was there to be picked up, we were told they didn't book them and they didn't apologise for it. Hotel out of date, cheap design, feels like downmarket hostel

It all looks amazing the website, the outside, .. The staff is unfriendly and it doesn't feel comfy or relaxing. Everything is old, broken or dirty. There was fungus in the bathroom. You can hear the neighbors and it's very loud when someone walks through the hallway. I've been in hostel with more design elements.
When you order the love kit they try to rip you of, you need ask for everything otherwise they try to hold it for themselves.
There hangs a very bad atmosphere.

Room Tip: Please truts the reviews and look for another hotel, you will feel ripped of.
