“Great value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Hotel Belmont is great value for money. The rooms are clean, the facilities are very good and although the WiFi's weak and patchy it is, at least, existent. Hotel Belmont is brilliantly positioned not ten minutes from the Grand Place and all in all it's a very good stay. The one fear we had was that you leave your key at reception and ask for it upon entry and it's not immediately obvious if there's a way that they know that the key you ask for is, in fact, yours. I guess the system relies on human honesty but nevertheless it's worth considering. Overall, however, a pleasant stay and at around €25 pp for a double room it was great value for money.

Stayed in this hotel for a one night business trip when Hotels were at a premium in Brussels. The decor was drab and in need of a freshen up, the bedclothes were old and musty.
The Location is good, but a small amount of effort to tidy up the premises would vastly improve the Hotel.

I have just been forced to spend few nights in this Hotel during a seafood show and just this Hotel can keep me from ever going to Brussels again even my visit here is business related. Price they charged was Euro 250 excl. breakfast.
Rooms were small, dirty and from the early 60'ties. You only get 1 towel so safe it as it will not be changed during your stay.
Breakfast, safe your money and go to a cafe outside the Hotel. Service is none existing in this Hotel, but this is very much the same feeling younger all over Brussels.
I believe right price for this place should not exceed Euro 40 per night incl. breakfast. Wifi almost not existing, only few places in the breakfast room if you are lucky.
If you are none French speaking like me, then forget all about watching TV as they only have few French channels and this is supposed to be the centre of Europe - Wake up guys!!!!!
This is simply not good enough and not a place I would ever consider coming back.
You should actually be ashamed

The hotel is in a really nice place and the staff was so helpful, but the the rooms do not have a good maintenance (problem in the shower, frigobar does not working...) and the check-in time is bad: 3pm.

The staff here were incredibly rude to us during our stay here. When we first arrived we gave the man at the front desk our credit cards to pay for the bill. Our credit cards weren't working on the machine so we gave him other credit cards to see if those would work. None of them did. Instead of apologizing and saying it was a problem with the machine- he kept implying that we were giving him credit cards that didn't work... Eventually he tried punching in the card numbers and the cards worked but he offered no apology for previous comments. Throughout the stay this man was consistently rude and unhelpful to us. He didn't help us when we asked about how to get to Brugge for a day-trip, only telling us that we should take one of the hotel's sponsored tour, giving us no other information or options. Also, on another note, the hotel is located in a very sketchy area so i would avoid this locale for this reason as well.

Room Tip: Rooms on the third floor don't have very good internet so avoid that if possible!

We stayed there for only one night but that was enough! Localisation and rates are good, but the service is one of the worst we've experienced. We were 3 friends and at the website it didn't say anything about check in hour but when filling the form to book there was a field to advise our arrival hour wich I did, 11am.
When we arrived Mr Etienne from lobby advised us that check in time was at 3 pm and we should come later! Luckily we only brought a small backpack for one night so we accepted that and decided to visit the city along with it. He didn't ask us if we wanted to leave it there or check our reservation to know it was all ok, poor service.
We returned at 6 pm and he told us that the room wasn't ready! and also there were another group of 3 waiting and no other room in the hotel left! We had to wait like 20 min more to go to our room. He dind't apologize anytime!!!
Room was small and smelled tobacco thought it's forbidden to smoke there. Also bathroom wasn't as clean as we expected, and beds were small and totally uncomfortable.
I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anybody, try the Ibis at the Spanish square, I've been there and it's lovely.

Room Tip: don't stay in this hotel. No reserves este hotel
