“It is just ok.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2013

When you walk into a nice looking building and reception area it gives you a good impression. The rooms are basic, and very plain. It is a shame as it is well located and could be so much better. Breakfast was poor, not real orange juice. The hotel is expensive for what you get, but if you book in advance you can get a deal which is ok but nothing more. Would i go back? No.

I was very happy to be in this hotel since my training venue was nearby. Stayed there for four nights out of six since they did not have booking for all nights unfortunately. The staff is very pleasant and helpful, nice breakfast, quite, and was situated in a safe area.

This hotel is awful! I'm sure there are hostels that are far nicer than this hotel! I wish I could give it a score of 0!

I checked in and was given a dark, dingy, dirty room on the ground floor in an old building across the road from the reception. The building does not seem safe and the rooms do not seem secure either! I went back to the reception and was moved to a room on the third floor. It was just as bad! The rooms are so basic, dingy and the bathrooms are terrible! Do not stay here! I checked out and stayed at the Sofitel Avenue Louise, which is a fantastic hotel!

DO NOT STAY HERE!

It was a last minute booking and got a bargain offer: good value for money. Well placed, well connected with public transport. Welcoming staff and free wifi are among its plus.
Ancient building, newly renovated, large bathroom but still the most anonymous room I have ever stayed at.

The rooms don't have air conditioning so it was very hot and uncomfortable on a summer day, especially the room just under the roof. Also, my room had the bathroom seperated so in order to visit the bathroom I had to lock my room and open the bathroom with another key. Apart from that, the facilities were okay and so was the breakfast.

Room Tip: In summer, choose a room on a lower floor (the 4th floor is just under the roof and very hot).

This place shows up on sites like hostelworld.com, so we were expecting something a lot more like a hotel than this. This was very much a hotel on a quiet street, with a fancy reception. The rooms come with towels, soaps, shower gels, etc. Everything was clean. The shower head is one of those movable ones, but there is no hook on the wall from which to hang it so you have to lather yourself and then rinse yourself. They have no luggage storage, but they do let you keep your things in your room even when the room isn't ready.

Pricing on this hotel is really interesting. Depending on your method of booking it, it can be anywhere from 60 euros a night to 140 euros a night. A really big difference! Our rate included breakfast. It was a breakfast of croissants, cheese, meat, cereals, yogurts, etc. There was plenty of options, but I still wouldn't pay 7 euros for it if it wasn't already included in the rate.
