“Fascinating”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

Whether you are interested in military history or not, this is a 'must do' activity when in Brussels. This museum is absolutely massive and we didn't get to see everything despite spending the best part of three hours there. There is something to interest everybody - there is a great flying museum with planes from lots of different eras there. Great visit - glad we went.

“Surprisingly good”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012

Well worth a visit - you won't believe the amount of things they have at this museum. Even for someone with no particular interest in military history, I found it fascinating. The aviation room (or hangar) is particularly worth a visit.

“Its no Smithsonian...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2012

Considering its a free museum, you can't beat the price. My husband and I went there for the aviation section which was actually pretty nice. They are re-doing sections of it. The rest of the museum I thought needed a thorough cleaning and updating.

“Free”

The only museum that is free! We are so spoilt in England. This museum was ideal for any age and interesting to all as it was full of all kinds of treasures.

“Dusty. But if you like old military stuff, ok.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2012

I'm a military officer, so have at least a passing interest, but still found this museum second-rate. More telling, perhaps, is that so did my two boys. The airplane hall was cool, and so were some of the armored vehicles, but the place was generally a bit forlorn.
