We were looking for something heartier than a sandwich after touring the Magritte Museum, and this tavern was the first spot we found that serves meals pretty much all day. Our server's English was so good that we didn't get the chance to practice our French. She helped me choose the most complementary local beer for my meal and cheerfully directed us to the taxi stand (I got the feeling she could have answered just about any question a tourist might have). As for the menu, it's a tasty melange of Belgian classics like carbonnade, a beer-based stew, and Danish smoked fish, caviar, herring, etc. Prices are on the steep side, not unusual in Belgium. Decor is typically Belgian, with comfy booths and lots of wood panelling.
