Owner description: This is not a museum in the traditional sense: the museum itself is actually the house that Victor Horta built for himself in the late 1890s, which truly exemplifies the Art Nouveau style that made Horta into one of the most acclaimed architects in Belgium.

Well-preserved Art Nouveau home with amazing decorative and architectural details. Information is a bit limited, but asking the staff can be helpful.

The Musee Horta is a wonderful showcase of Victor Horta's style and work and Belgian Art Nouveau architecture.

“fascinating for those who appreciate architecture”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

A very beautiful house now well laid out as a museum. Easy to get to by public transport. Yes, a little preparation might help, although if you are going here, you probably know enough about Art Deco to know what you're seeing anyway.

“Stunning”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

Beautiful and the attention to detail is something else - although in some ways the house feels empty.

Worth the visit if you like Art Deco

“Very Interesting Home”

This place will take you back to the turn of the 20th century. Very unique and beautiful. It is easy to get to this museum (take 93 tram from downtown).
