“Good hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013 via mobile

Friendly, helpful staff. Neat, modern, clean and comfortable. Good breakfast. Only just outside the centre and a short walk from the Grand Place and Manneken Pis. Not the cheapest, but all in all a great find. I will stay there again.

My stay was for two nights between 3-5 of June. As I entered the hotel I was greeted with a friendly smile. I asked for a quiet room and was given one on the seventh (last) floor, at the far edge, away from the lifts. It was very quiet and relaxing.
The room is very well sized and could easily accommodate a couple with child without any problem. Bathroom, as all the rest, was spotless and well maintained.
The room is equipped with a 32" TV with HD channels in Dutch, French, English, Spanish, Italian and more. You also have a mini-bar, AC, coffee/tea making facilities etc.
Breakfast is served 06:00-09:00 and you can also order it to your room. If you walk down to the restaurant you will find a really nice selection of cold-cuts, cheese, vegetables, dairy, beverages and more. The bakery products were fresh and tasty, the selection of coffee and tea is simply abundant.

All in all every aspect of the stay (room, service, cleanliness, food) was simply perfect. This is without a doubt one of the best hotel stays I had.

Room Tip: All rooms I got to see open on my walks between my room and the lifts looked the same as mine in ter...

Modern, spacious and quiet rooms. Lobby area has the wow factor looking down onto water feature of pool area. Some have complained pool is small, yes it is, you can't swim in it but the kids loved it, pretending they were rock pools. Being in the steam room whilst they let of steam and had the whole place to ourselves, bliss!
Buffet breakfast was very good, great quality pastries.
Only complaint was concierge/reception sent us to 3 museums, all shut! I had mentioned I knew lots of museums were shut Mondays so was especially disappointed with kids in tow.. So beware!
Can recommend Ninja House, Japanese restaurant next door. Eat as much as you can sushi and teppanyaki etc. all freshly prepared/cooked to order, especially with kids 10 and under is very reasonable and delicious.
Excellent location can walk to most major sites (tho' mannequin pis is not exactly major!), St. Katherine's square just at the back is very picturesque for a drink/meal.

The Novotel was a great choice for us. The rooms were large, modern, comfortable and the bathroom was very good with a rain shower. The hotel is a short walk from the main square and easily reachable via Central Station and De Brouckere metro (which has an elevator if travelling with bags). Right behind the hotel are a wide variety of restaurants and breakfast options (we thought €20 for breakfast each was too much in the hotel and fed ourselves for €10 total).

Overall we were very happy with the hotel and would return when next in Brussels.

Very friendly and helpful receptionist, barman and waiters.
Good view from Executive rooms on the 7th floor over the city.
Nice Decaf and normal coffee Nespresso complementary in the room.
Would definitely consider this hotel again.
Nice little good fresh fish restaurant around the corner.

Having stayed at this hotel as well as their sister hotel near to Grand Place, I do prefer this one. Excellent location as its only 3-4 minutes walk from Grand Place; had no problems with the staff; rooms fine.

A really good hotel in a nice part of the city. Very convenient for transport links and very central. Very quiet, spacious and comfortable with all the facilities you'd expect in a good quality hotel. Free Wi-Fi a real bonus and the range of TV channels is great (across a wide range of languages). Staff fantastic and elevate this hotel to be better than many others I've stayed in in the city.
