Great Location - just across the Midi station. Rooms are large and comfortable.

However, I found the staff rather unhelpful and rude. I had requested for an early check-in - around 9 Am after a long train journey from Vienna. The Hotel had vacant rooms but the front office staff refused to oblige and made us keep waiting in the lobby till the official check-in time and only then allotted rooms to us. Such unfriendly attitude is rather unexpected from an international chain like Ibis.

Get off the Eurostar, turn right at the end of the platform, walk to the station exit and you will see the Ibis opposite and just to the left. You can be in bed within 15 mins of getting off a late train. Usual Ibis decor, modern and clean. Breakfast is a good buffet but very pricey at 16 Euros. The area round the station is very rough and you would not want to walk round after dark. But overall, very convenient for an overnight stop en route to somewhere else.

We had to stayed there for 1 night and lived very bad experiment.
When we arrived this hotel, it was over 2 am and they required 145 EUR for only 5 hours eventhough 117 EUR was on the promotion sign on front side of the the hotel.
Other hand, no soap, shompoo or towels at the room. I quess, it was just left by another quest.
