Great location ,standard rooms very small, breakfast was very poor , food was cold which is not really acceptable for a 5 star hotel. Lobby area was nice. Overall quite good but not 5 star IMO.

We just spent 2 nights over a weekend at this hotel and found it to be in a great location between the old part of town (Grand Place) and the Royal Quarter. It's a quiet area with no noise whatsoever, but all the main sights of Brussels are within a few minutes' walk. We had a room on the 5th floor facing the Central Station. Note that the Eurostar trains arrive at Gare du Midi, which is about a 10-minute taxi ride away - approx. 8 euros. The room was a little small but fine for a couple. Everything about the hotel was fine other than the fact that the restaurant is very expensive, which is typical for these types of hotels (breakfast costs 25 euros per person), so we had all our meals elsewhere. Location was the biggest advantage overall, although we noticed that there are some other hotels next door such as Ibis and Novotel that you can compare against if you're looking for a central location in Brussels.
A first-class hotel. Rooms are big by European standards, and very well outfitted and decorated. Bathrooms are nice. As in most European hotels, internet access and breakfast are both obscenely expensive. Staff was also very friendly. The hotel is only minutes from the Grand Place and across the street from the Bruxelles Central train station.
Stayed 2 nights to see the city before a business week. Great location, directly across from the train station, so after a long night and day of planes and trains, I was happy to only have to cross the street and find my hotel- especially in the rain... Check in was easy, and the front desk was friendly and helpful. The lobby and main areas were inviting, and very nice, but not too stuffy. The room was quite nice, and larger than the other 4 I stayed in during the trip. Desk, LCD TV, coffee maker, and the great big cushy bed. Close to Grand Place, and other attractions. I didn't eat in the restaurant, as there are too many local choices only a short walk away. A great first visit to Brussels, I only wish I had more time to be a tourist.
The hotel is centrally located and is very close to the Grand Place, shopping and restaurants. Since we only stayed in Brussels for one day, staying at Le Meridien is a wonderful choice as we were able to see all the sights that we wanted to see and it is all within walking distance from the hotel.
Staff were very accommodating and tried their best to answer our questions. They were even kind enough to let us borrow their unbrellas as it was drizzling a bit (we later found out that this is their personal umbrellas and not from the hotel).
Breakfast was good and there were quite a wide selection of food. Will definitely stay in this hotel again!
