“Good value for money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 days ago NEW via mobile

Basic hotel, friendly staff, rooms with good spaces to work, kitchen in room and four person table. Good value for money. Not a luxury hotel. Close to pubs and parks late night services and stores open late.

Plus: a block from the European Commission
Minus: outdated style (the 60s?), worn-out furniture, beds way too soft, street noise can be heard in the room, too costly for what you get in comparison to other nearby hotels.

Good:
1) Excellent location. Right beside EU, 2 minutes slow amble from stations, plenty of eating options nearby
2) Large room (we had one on the 6th floor, overlooking the garden)
3) Use of refrigerators, and could have cooked if we wanted to
4) Plenty of storage space
5) Lovely breakfast, plenty of choice with hot and cold food, including fresh fruit and fruit salad. The small dark rolls are particularly delicious
6) Good Wifi that worked.
7) The maps available from the front desk were easy to follow and had every street named, unlike the one in my guidebook of Brussels (Yes, Lonely Planet, I'm looking at you)

OK (may need fixing, doesn't affect the stay):
1) Decor - Rather dated and very 80s.
2) Possibly the slowest lifts in the country.

In need of attention:
1) The towels were almost threadbare
2) The bath itself is awkward to get in and out of, and very slippery. There were almost 2 accidents
3) The shower head in the bathtub would not stay up, which made it very difficult to have a shower.
4) The water from the faucet was quite hot for the bath, but then cool for the shower at the same settings. (We think that the hot water pressure may be low)
5) The room heating was far too high (this may be a European thing - I'm finding the same here in Paris) and could not be adjusted. This led to having to open the balcony door on 2C nights to stop suffocating.

Would stay again gladly if they get the bathroom and towels sorted.

Room Tip: Ask for one facing the garden, and high up. The Atomium at sunset is beautiful

The hotel is a bit demodé, decoration of the eighties. However is confortable. It is located just in front of EU Commission, one minute from schumann metro and train station. Rooms are spacious and have a small kitchen. It is not luxury but quite decent. In my case it was a bit overpriced (140 euros) but this is what you pay in that area of Brussels. Excellent for business trips.

Euroflat is in the midde of the European Distrcist in Brussels, right next to the European Commission. At first, the design might seem strange, the hotel probably has not been redisigned in the last few decades. So if you like state of the art, modern hotels, this is not your place. But otherwise, rooms are big (more like a suite), they even have a small kitchenette. If you are lucky, you can have a room on one of the upper floors, where there are terraces with great view. Keep in mind, there is no elevator to the 9th floor. Also, breakfast is great and wifi service is excellent thorughout the hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the 8th floor. You'll have great views.

Not bad hotel very close to EU but no room service, what's all that about? The bar had lots of bottled beer but the waiter was doing 3 jobs at once and was never there. Kitchenette in the room a bit weird

This is an averagely priced hotel VERY close to the European Institutions, especially the European Commission's Berlaymont and Charlemagne buildings (and Schuman metro/railway station).

If these are your only two criteria, stay here.

Otherwise there are plenty of better, more modern options in Brussels. The rooms are large enough with a kitchenette and small living area, but they are almost unforgivably ensconced in the 1970s. The decor is outrageously outdated and the rooms have small twin beds. The room seemed clean enough (although the carpet has seen better days), but the beds didn't have mattress protectors. The buffet breakfast was average.
