“Good location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2014

Stayed there for one night. It was good but the bedroom was small and a little dated. There was work ongoing painting and some carpentry work. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was not over exciting. The hotel is located close to the main sights to see in Brussels .

Went with 3 of my sons for beer experience.
Hotel in walking distance for everything, is nicely decorated and gives you the feeling that your going to enjoy your stay.
Pleasant reception, 2 nice rooms with really comfortable single beds.
Breakfast only eggs and bacon for English but great selection of continental that fills the gap.
Would definitely revisit and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

After booking at this hotel, I checked reviews on here and seeing bad reviews started to worry, not knowing what to expect. It's a grand decorated outside and reception. Very easy checkin, still waiting for the bad stuff to happen. But no, the double bed was spacious, clean crisp linen and very comfy. The bathroom was good, just the shower changed temperature a bit, but really nothing bad. People saying the wifi is nonexistent, we had wifi 90% of the time and were on the 3rd floor.
We arrived tired so decided not to go out and went to the restaurant and were the only ones there. Had a beautiful meal and would recommend!
Had a great stay.

I stayed at the Bedford hoel for one nigth when I was in Brussels for business. It is a good hotel.
staff is helpfull, room was quiet and clean. Location is excellent, close to the Grote Markt which is one of the most beautiful squares of Europe. The hotel has however quit a cheap atmosphere. That doesn't matter as the hotel is indeed quite cheap. All in all good value for money!

Room Tip: there was no swimming pool or spa.

The rooms are old fashioned and poorly maintained. The hotel is very big and you tend to feel like a number rather than a guest. However, the location is central as well as being right next to a tram stop and the hotel offers a good choice at breakfast. For Brussels, the price is reasonable.

I booked an executive room and was pleasantly surprised to see how spacious and well furnished the room was.

The hotel is ideally located just a few minutes walk from Grand Place.

What I immediately noticed is that there is an urgent need for maintenace. In the bathroom, the tup was completely rusted and the paint keeps falling off the roof. You don`t expect this when paying over Euros 100 a night.

Free internet but you need to get a new voucher every 24 hours and the net was very slow.

Breakfast is ok.

The Rodney Boys were in town for a weekend exploring Brussels. The Bedford provided great value for money, comfort and was a very easy walk from the Grand Place, the Mannekin Pis and the Jeannecke Pis (not to mention Brussels' excellent bars, restaurants and shops. It is also less than 15 minutes walk from the Midi Station. The rooms, including the bathrooms, are decent (not luxurious but comfortable for a weekend away), the hotel bar and restaurant is fine also, and the breakfast gets special mention - great self service buffet with much more food, drink and choice than we had expected. It was only at breakfast that I realised the scale of the hotel - there were many more guests than had been apparent when walking into, out of and around its interior (but certainly not overcrowded). Our "Inspector Von Hotels" (alias the "citydetective") had done a good job selecting the Bedford and the cost of B&B for the whole weekend was less than EUR 80 each. We explored the hotel in minute detail just prior to leaving - Innes had mislaid his passport and there was much frantic searching (staff brilliant about letting us back into the rooms after checking out) and alas ........ we found it! The Rodney Boys had another successful trip and would recommend the Bedford for similar purposes.
