“Delightful meal, good service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2014

We were part of a tour group when we went here for a three course dinner. I was not expecting a meal of great quality and was pleasantly surprised. I would be quite happy to return.

“Exquisite food, superb service!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2014

Our family of five loved the ambiance, food, and service in this wonderful restaurant! We ordered fois gras, vegetable soup, salmon carpaccio, grilled salmon, whole grilled sea bream, steak tartare, steak with Roquefort sauce, and wine. The two who didn't order an appetizer, not feeling overly hungry, were given an amuse bouche -- on the house! Everything tasted delicious, proportions were generous, service was attentive. It was priced well; our bill was about 165 euro plus tip. I strongly recommend reservations as we saw several turned away because they were so busy. We will eat here every time we are in Brussels!

“Best restaurant in Brussels.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2014 via mobile

The food was the best that we had in our multiple trips to Belgium. The service was outstanding. The waiters were attentive. When we return to Belgium, this will be the place we go to dine.

Wonderful dinning experience. Two of my teenagers did not order appetizers, the waiters brought out salmon mousse on the house because they wanted them to have something to eat while the rest of us eat our appetizers.

“Marmiton Charms and delivers”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2014

Marmiton is in the tourist area in the St Hubert Galleries. That's usually a signal for me to steer clear. I ignore touting waiters; if the food is good, they are simply unnecessary. There was a constant stream of people coming to eat at Marmiton.

After a week on the road, I was specifically wanting a steak. This place was recommended to me. The portions are gargantuan; presentation is simple; and the quality of the ingredients used is perfect. Immaculately fresh fish - I was sitting next to Japanese woman, who was impressed (and it's not easy to impress the Japanese re fish); I had well aged and prepared beef.

It is, I understand, a family run restaurant and the attention shows. I was eating alone but felt entirely comfortable and at ease. Those with limited continental language skills will feel welcome.

“A genuinely enjoyable experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2014

We ate here on a Tuesday evening in February, having dined in a much more expensive restaurant the night before. This was by far the better experience. Really welcoming and helpful staff; great food, excellent wine and an extremely positive ambience.

We ate from the menu Marmiton and chose a bottle of the house red (a cabernet sauvignon). Couldn't fault the meal at all but the moules were exceptional. We shall eat here again as soon as circumstances allow. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant and its lovely staff to anyone who wants to enjoy a great meal and not pay ridiculous sums of money for the privilege.
